If it is the first game of the season, it may be closer than a game later on. Opening games are usually sloppy and the better teams do not win by as much as they would with a few games work out the "kinks."

Bell Co in a very close fight!!!

IMHO, if Bell comes out and beats Lex Cath, and Highlands beats Boyle, the Highlands fans will reathe a sigh of relief

Won't happen,Bell will give 'em all they want, and then some.

You make it sound like Highlands is afraid of Lex Cath; believe me, they fear no one in 4A or even the state or Cincinnati. They go out every week thinking they are going to win and the best team. Their goal is to bring home another title this year.

Can't wait to make the drive up I75 next Friday to watch a great game.

AMEN Belldad!!! Just let them key off on Polly. Collett will make fools of them all. Collett is not hardly as fast as Davenport but the kid can fly and he has moves of his own. In my opinion Bell could have the fastest overall backfield at least in the mountains if not the entire state. Oz has speed too. In my opinion, when Bell gets the line play together they will be better than last year. But they will have a different look having multiple speedsters flying around.

LexCath has too many offensive weapons this season and will make it a long day for the Bell CO DBs. Bell Co will try to wear down the Lex Cath D-line. In the end, I'm gonna say LexCath by 10 because it's harder for the DBs to be prepared for this kind of attack in the first game of the year. Later in the year, this would be a closer game.

They only beat us by 6 last year with a very young defense. I think we return all DB's and S from last years team.

Bell won't have any problem scoring LC {will not }be able to stop Bell's running game.LC is no where near as physical as Bell will be.it should be a high scoring affair, and i'll take Bell by 3.my two favorite teams are Boyle Co.and anybody thats playing Lexington Catholic.

Hope you are right about Lex Cath not being able to stop the run, it will be welcome news for Boyle and HHS.

I think we had around 450 yards rushing last year against Cath.
08-13-2012, 01:53 PM
This will be a dandy. Bell always has good backs because they always have good linemen. Blocking makes backs - not the other way around. All teams have somebody who is fast but not all teams rush well. That is due to blocking. Just don't tell the six pack guys that. It could hurt their feelings.
Bell revenges last years loss by a point in barn burner if they can kick extra points. I think it will be that close.

Bell better have a passing game cause they will be playing from behind. Ball control, ground and pound will not do the job if your trailing. Lexington Catholic will score fast and often, but if Bell get out of the box fast and if they have big long runs, they have a chance.
08-13-2012, 02:15 PM
Bell will def use the clock and play smashmouth football.
08-13-2012, 02:18 PM
I'm hoping Bell Co. brings the wood to LC. Also I hope Sam Letton plays and plays well. Please win Bell Co. !
08-13-2012, 07:26 PM
LC will throw for 450 yards! LC 43-24
08-14-2012, 03:07 AM
LC should win but I think this game will be as close as last years, if bells db's can with stand the pass an not give up too many big plays I think with the power of Polly bell can make this game a real nail bitter like last year. It could come down to who has the ball last should be a good game to watch.

Yeah they only beat Bell Co. last year with a young defense. They also beat you with a young offense. Catholic did not graduate anybody, but 2 O/L. So they have everybody back. If that's your argument, then the result should be just like last year.

We shall see. All of our DB's and S return as well. Should be a great matchup.

Sir, Im not arguing who shall win or not. Just making a point to your statement that bobcats were young last year and thats why they got beat. Well sir, all I'm saying is that Catholic returns ALL their player makers and skill guys that beat Bell last season with the exception of 2 O/L and I forgot their 1 wideout. You all have a safe trip down here in Lexington.

I hope Bell Co wins but I think LC will pull it out.
08-14-2012, 11:33 AM
I think this will be the first of 3 or 4 losses for Lex Cath this year in the regular season.i think they will lose to Bell,Boyle,Bowlingreen, and possibly the Ensworth Tenn team.IMO
