Powell loses a lot of very good players, but they have a bunch of good young talent. Powell won't be as good as they have been past couple years but they still will be a solid team.

Coach Varney is a great coach. I look for this team to still be solid contender. Probably not the favorite like this season but they will still be a sound baseball team.

Powell lost a lot, but their talent pool has not been depleted. The Pirates will still be a contender, but will have to face a tough Estill team in the 56th and of course with Hazard returning just about everybody they will be the team to beat. But in baseball anything is possible.

Powell should be solid next year.

Added Austin Mullins from Knott Central. Mom and Dad are getting divorced. He is an experienced outfielder and a pretty good Left Handed Pitcher. Should help fill some of the holes left by the departing seniors.

Mullins will be an excellent addition; especially if they get someone to develop him in pitching.
