I've watched my Dad chew for many many years. He's went from the Golden Blend stuff to now pouches. Is it really that addictive? And he was a smoker until he went to go for a job when I was younger and he had black lung from smoking. So then he went to chewing and is as healthy as ever.
Is it really that addictive? And do you all know of anyone or have any problems from chewing that you all know personally?

I use copenhagen.
And yes, i have all my teeth and their very white.
To be honest, i could quit today if i wanted to.
To me its not addictive, kind of a habit, ill go a week or two without using and not realize it.
Its just something to do.

No. When I was 6 or 7, my grandfather gave some of his Workhorse chew tobacco while camping. I think I vomited everything inside my body except my internal organs. I was so sick the rest of the night. I never wanted to chew again.

I used to dip until it went over $1 a can had to make a choice between beer and dip and well..............
I would even dip while playing football, kept a can in my thigh pad and took a little pinch every so often. Guess it was junior year in college when I stopped

I dont know man. Some people claim they get the shakes if they dont get a chew ever so often.
As for me the first dip i ever had was skoal vanilla when i was around 19 or 20. That was some nasty stuff. After that i started dipping grizzly straight for a few years then went to copnhagen wintergreen when it came out and been using it ever since.
But, for example i havent had a dip since wednesday and havent craved for one.

I dipped, up until 10 years ago, along with smoking. I quit both at about the same time.

I was going to pull an all nighter (no, not that but studying) so I got the idea to buy a can of dip to help keep me awake. Within 5 minutes the room was spinning. The next thing I knew I threw up everywhere. So, I haven't touched the stuff since.

If it wasnt for me setting in front of an airconditiong vent with my face on it, i would have thrown up. After that first time though, it never bother me again.

I chewed and dipped for about 14 yrs and quit over two yrs ago. I just enjoyed doing it and it helped me pass time at work. To me its something you have to enjoy doing like anything else, so imo it can be addictive. I know of a guy that got mouth cancer from it.

Take a chew about once or twice a year while hunting. Other than that no. Just put down the smokes this past Sat. night. Haven't had one since about 10 pm that night. Promised my son I would quit when baseball season was over.

I don't, but I do see how it could be addicting. I don't drink or smoke either.
I choose to screw up my health by eating lots of fatty foods. Which, I have made a commitment to change recently.

My father has chewed Red Man since my conception. He can't seem to live without it. I myself, have never been able to chew or dip.
Tried dipping twice and both times puked my guts out.
