Thoughts?

Want a certain player to be drafted to a certain team?

Predictions? Anyone want to do a draft pick'em?

I hate how the Bulls always end up trading most of their picks and end up having like only 1 or 2

Stern with the number one pick.
#6
I hate that Davis is going to the Hornets more than likely. Because I'll never get to see him play on my tv provider. Sad

lol at the bobcats for getting the shaft.
The one thing i love about the NBA is how they do the lottery.
I would LOVE for the NFL to do this.
It would keep the shitty teams from losing on purpose just to get a player they will ruin.
#8
Doesnt Anthony Davis already know New Orleans pretty well? lol

Freaking Doug Gottlieb had Beal from Florida going second and MKG going like 15-20.
Gotta love that dousche.
#9
^Doug is a weirdo.

MKG's stock has dropped quite a bit since the tourney...
I've heard some arguments for and against him but I honestly think he will make a great 3 and have success from the get-go.
I don't think he will go at #2 - but I think he is definitely go high lottery.

^I totally agree.

I hope MKG's stock has dropped, all the way to #10. There is no question that the Hornets would take him with that pick, they were already preparing to take him before they got the #1 last night.

That would be sweet.

He wont get past Sacramento at #5, unless they plan to take a guy like Darius Miller at #35.

The Kings need a 3 and a defensive 5. They would prefer a better shooting 3-man but with MKG's defense and intangibles, he wont slip past 5.

At least it would still be the only NBA team with THREE NBA players from UK. (Hayes, Cousins, MKG/Miller). That would be cool.

I honestly don't see the Kings picking up a 3...
they have Francisco Garcia, Terrence Williams, and John Salmons that already get time at the 3.

I'll avatar bet you right now that they get Thomas Robinson

I am glad Davis isn't going to the Bobcats...

I heard that the Thunder was interested in Miller so he may go in the first round after all.

Garcia and or Salmons will be the amnesty player this year. They like T-Will in the backcourt more than the frontcourt, so they view him as a big 2.

They really need a person that can defend multiple positions because the team had one of, if not THE worst defense in the NBA last season because they had so many guards. They are going to pick definite frontcourt players OR a 3 that can guard multiple spots.

I believe they use the amnesty on Garcia and try to trade Salmons. They have no desire or want for either, lol.

The NBA owned the Hornets, but they have a new owner now. Cat just couldn't blame the refs, so he had to castigate conspiracy on someone....

You messed up my ball buster, Dust!

He was supposed to say...

"Because the league owns the Hornets and David Stern wanted to make sure they make a lot of money off of the first pick in the draft so they rigged the lottery"

and then I was going to say something like...

"The league doesn't own the Hornets. Are you stupid?"

and then he would either call me stupid in return and I would follow up with a mile-long post about how the guy that owns the Saints bought the Hornets.

or he could google it and figure out that he was wrong.

LOL, Well the scarry thing is, you and I were thinking along the same lines. Sorry, it was an accidental "Cock Block"...

NEW YORK — New owner, and now a new star player coming to New Orleans.
And yet another loss — in a historic season full of them — for Michael Jordan and the Charlotte Bobcats.
The Hornets, recently sold by the NBA to Saints owner Tom Benson, won the NBA's draft lottery Wednesday and the No. 1 pick overall — which they almost certainly will use to pick Kentucky star Anthony Davis.
At least that's what the consensus college player of the year is expecting. Moments after the Hornets won the lottery, Davis said he was looking forward to playing professionally in the place where he led the Wildcats to a national championship in April.
The good news for the Hornets comes after a difficult season in which they traded All-Star Chris Paul.
"Just a first step for us to winning it all," Benson said in a TV interview after the lottery.
The Hornets moved up from the fourth spot, where they had a 13.7 percent chance, to earn the pick.
"Everything was surreal once they announced the fourth pick," said Hornets Coach Monty Williams, who represented the team on stage. "I said 'This is pretty cool.' I knew my wife and kids were home praying that things would go well and they did."
The Bobcats, after going 7-59 for the worst winning percentage in NBA history, fell to the No. 2 pick. Washington will pick third and Cleveland fell one spot to fourth.
Charlotte had a 25 percent chance of grabbing the No. 1 pick, but instead will have to take the best player after Davis, possibly his teammate, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
The team with the worst record hasn't won since Orlando drafted Dwight Howard in 2004.
"We will still take the best player available and when you win seven games you have a lot of holes," Bobcats general manager Rich Cho said. "From a competitive standpoint and for anyone who has played sports or been competitive, you want to win and be No. 1. We know we're still going to get a good player."
Cho and team vice chairman Curtis Polk said they hadn't heard from Jordan, the Bobcats owner.
"Being No. 2 isn't terrible. We'll be fine," Polk said.
The Hornets, who went 21-45, also have the No. 10 pick.

Actually, Zaga and Dusty, your wrong.
According to this article, the NBA still owns the Hornets.
According to this, the new owners cant even make a trade....
Althought, seeing as to how i know next to nothing of the situation, you guys could be right as well.

Drummond and Beal will be the best two in this draft not named Anthony Davis. IMO

Tom Benson's deal has been finalized, just the finished paperwork has yet to be completed. He was at the draft supporting "his" coach as he referred to it. It's likle buying a house, once you sign the agreement and term papers, it's yours in principal. Then you have to go through the bank closing before you take possession. Benson represented the team at the draft, not the NBA.

Great list! Looks a lot like the current mock drafts, but I do see some differences, so good work.

I have a guy feeling that with Andre Drummond's insane upside, he will not fall out of the top 5. If it was my team and they were badly struggling, I wouldn't take the risk. However, he will not fall past 5-6.

The Kings need a defensive Center, but I don't want them to take the risk. I also feel as if Moultrie will not fall that far, but this is a DEEP draft. There are guys like Terrence Jones in the 20's that would be in the top 10 of most drafts.

LWC's Early 1st Round Mock Draft (I stole J-Rod's format)
*I am sure that I forgot someone very important or that a few teams will draft international players and throw everyone off, lol.

01.) New Orleans Hornets | Anthony Davis, PF, Kentucky

02.) Charlotte Bobcats | Thomas Robinson, PF, Kansas

03.) Washington Wizards | Bradley Beal, SG, Florida (I honestly think that Jordan might take him at #2, but it might be a little of a stretch but the Wizards LOVE the tought of a Beal-Wall back-court.)

04.) Cleveland Cavaliers | Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, SF, Kentucky (Talent alone wont let him fall farther than this)

05.) Sacramento Kings | Andre Drummond, C, Connecticut

06.) Portland Trail Blazers (from Brooklyn) | Damian Lillard, PG, Weber State

07.) Golden State Warriors | Harrison Barnes, SF, North Carolina
