Pike central didn't keep defensive stats but just me guessing I'm sure he was somewhere close to 100 tackles or more

Congrats to all these young men! It's sooooooooooo exciting that we are doing this. This is a great thing for these young men. Great resume booster to even be considered for something like this.

Hey guys, use this thread and pick a guy or two on the 18 list that you've watched and give us a little testimony about him. Here's an example I did for Hazard's Olinger
"Hazard's Jordan Olinger is the latest in the line of Olinger athletes at the Bulldog, but what does he have that the rest don't? A rock on his finger. Though he only caught 3 balls for 31 yards in Bowling Green, notching one interception and 5 tackles as well, his presence alone is frightening as he stands 6'3 with ability to jump and run crisp routes. Olinger caught 2 passes, for 71 yards, and 2 TD's against 1A foe Williamsburg. He also picked off co-finalist Dalton Sizemore. Olinger looks to get himself another ring in his senior season"
Let's see what you got, we wanna hear what your testimony of the 18 finalist! Of us 5 guys, not all of us has seen each guy so I wanna hear what there is to hear? Give me positives, negatives, ANY college offers, use your sports writing skill!
Also, if you have a highlight film or even a video of a single big play, post it. We wanna see what makes these 18 guys elite!

Noticed they left off LB on Bryant's(Whitley) nominee. With over 500 tackles in three seasons, I think it is worth mentioning.irateShoirateSho

Thanks for noticing, that's an honest mistake. I guess whoever sent me that nominee may have not listed LB so I didn't check stats or it may be my mistake. Khsaa.org has him listed for 70 total tackles in 2011, I'll add that on ASAP. Thanks again.

Yes the Coaches failed to put in the defense of stats towards the second half of the season. If Im not mistaken he had 140 something as a freshman, 209(school record) as a Soph. And droped to 150 something last season. :pondering:

Jefferson Patrick, Williamsburg,a Freshman with 60 carries, 325 yards, 6 TD --- 116 solo tackles, 33 assisted, now that is impressive and I am looking forward to watching him this season along withQB Dalton Sizemore and Patrick's twin brother Brent kicking.

I suggest it should go to an upperclassmen. There has to be better upperclassmen out there than giving it to a freshman. Also different quality of football and schedules of competition at some schools.

Does this only go on last season's numbers or should it be career stats?
