Position: Guard

Height: 5-11

On the floor: Whitfield averaged 22.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.4 steals and 2.5 assists and set single-season school records for points (720) and steals (173). Over four seasons with the Lady Dragons she averaged 17.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.3 steals. She finished her career with 1,999 points, second in school history. Her 498 steals are tops on the school’s all-time list, and she ranks second in rebounds (685) and third in assists (267).

Off the floor: Whitfield has a 4.0 GPA and plans to major in engineering.

Future: Whitfield has signed with the University of Cincinnati.

Quotable: “As she has grown physically, she has worked hard to add skills to go along with her giftedness,” South Oldham coach Frank Wright said. “As result, Jas was able to impact games for us in many ways. She also presented opponents with matchup problems, as she has guard skills in addition to her height and length. Above all, though, she was very unselfish and did so much to enhance her teammates in order for us to win.”
