The team is working out and has been for a while now. Evan Napier is running the weight lifting and conditioning.
#9
Napier should have been named coach when Arnett left but from all reports, he will be named new coach soon.
#10
Is Jamie Gilbert still helping out? I know the job was promised to him before Arnett got it.
#11
I think whoever gets the job will have a good group of kids coming back and support from the community. Good luck Tigers!!

any news on this job??
#17
I'm hearing from a reliable source that they will more than likely go with an out of county candidate.
#18
5 applicants were interviewed yesterday any word on who they were?
#19
Asst. Coach Evan Napier, some guy that coached at Bourbon Co, former Tiger Michael Paul Sizemore who was an asst at S Laurel until last season, former Tiger and long time asst. at Leslie Co Tim Shickell are the names I have heard. Must be one more....
#20
They need to hire someone from within their system.
Someone that cares and wants to be there for the long term. They should give it to the assistant or the Gilbert guy. Screw a bunch of outsiders.
#21
Coach Poynter from Bourbon County applied, but did not get Interviewed Wednesday, I wonder why he didnt get interviewed went 8-4 last year??
#22
Is Gilbert even interested or getting an interview?
#23
What about Chapman from Pike County Central? I heard he applied.
#24
Chapman doesnt have a chance at this job, or many others from what I hear he isn't in high demand.

Evan Napier deserves a chance. He has been running the program. He is well qualified.
#26
well whats the word? who's the frontrunner? I was told that the new coach has already been offered.
#27
Is E. Napier a teacher? What is his job?
#28
The coach will be introduced at the board meeting Monday night.....
#29
Well, who is it?
#30
Word is the new coach will be Evan Napier(former coach Wayne Napier's son). Not sure if this is good or bad. I've heard that he's not a teacher and doesn't have a degree. Hard to believe that can work long term.
