Shelby Valley 2012
#31
They have the right coach for the job. Coach Stepp is a great coach, and will have that program winning district championships, and he creates tough men that play hard for him and their teammates
#32
heard today that valley had some players transfering and some coaches leaving
#33
How has Shelby Valley Looked in Spring Football, What is expected this upcoming season?
#34
I don't expect much from Valley this year. Probably end up beating Betsy Layne and Morgan (or is it Bath?) County, then get destroyed by Prestonsburg.

First of all I want to give coach Aaron Stepp a lot of respect. He is a great coach, and knows what he is talking about out on the football field. Shelby Valley does have a very young team this coming year. They have a Senior Quarterback coming back, Corey Griffith, and a backfield with Bredan Lacy and Mason Johnson. They also have freshman coming in which gives them a big help on the O-line, and in the backfield. They have some talented receivers but need more numbers at this position. Good luck to Valley this year!

Young team at Shelby Valley this year. This team has multiple freshman coming in that will help them in years to come such as, Justin Bowling @ D-line & Fullback. Isaac Lucas @ O-line, and Donovan Layne @ Quarterback. They have some returning players also.. with Corey Griffith @ Quarterback which is very mobile. He is very quick, and has speed on him. They also have Bredan Lacy and Mason Johnson in the backfield. They have some talented receivers such as Nick Wallace but need more numbers at the position. Hoping to see this team grow for years to come!

They will be alright, they have a good coach.

Don't know much about the talent level at Valley this upcoming year, but I do think they have the right coach. If he stays at SV for a few years, he will have them competing for the district title.

Yes , Valley does have some great Freshmen coming in , but Issac Lucas transfer to Pikeville . Also they have Chandler Rowe playing this year and he does have the chance to be the best RB these next few years

I agree. If Chandler can learn to deal with the contact at the line of scrimmage, the sky is the limit for his potential.Once he gets into open field, contact becomes less and less of an issue, as very few can catch him. And, as for the other freshmen, they all have great, natural talent that I really believe Coach Stepp can hone into a very good team.I will miss seeing Isaac in blue. He was a remarkable young man with a bright future. Just hang in there guys, take your hits, and let Coach Stepp turn you into the team you should have always been.

Didn't know Isaac Lucas was transferring till the other day. Sure will miss seeing him as a wildcat, and as for Chandler Rowe he is an amazing athlete. Hard work and determination will take this kid far. Think Valley has potential to be very good for years to come!

When Saunders left, so did the chance of Shelby Valley getting past the second round of the playoffs. They will be a solid team in time but this year could be really bad. What is their schedule?

Thank you. I see 1 win for sure and a couple of games that could go either way like Magoffin and East Ridge. And depending on what Leslie county returns I see a 4-7 record at best and a very possible 1-10 2-9 season ahead for the wildcats.

Less than a week from staring, did any players actually transfer to pikeville?
