Walton-Verona 6 - Simon Kenton 0
#1
Hannah Thacker did it all for Walton-Verona Thursday night, leading them to a 6-0 win over Simon Kenton. She threw her first career no-hitter and added a grand slam for good measure.

The game was scoreless in the fifth inning until Kelsey Mosier drove in the first run with a bases loaded single and the following batter was walked with the bases full to give the Bearcats a 2-0 lead. Thacker came up next and drilled a grand slam to bust the game open. She finished 2-4 from the plate and had seven strikeouts on the mound.

Walton-Verona improved to 6-0 on the season and Thacker improved her personal record to 4-0.

Sophomore Hannah Thacker tossed her first career no-hitter and hit her first varsity home run as Walton-Verona beat Simon Kenton, 6-0 on Thursday.
Thacker did not allow a walk, as both Pioneers baserunners reached on errors, and Thacker hit a grand slam over the left field fence to cap off the Bearcats’ six-run fifth inning.
