10. Howard Schnellenberger never did win his football national championship at Louisville, but his 1990 Cardinals team did defeat Alabama (think about that), 34-7, on Jan. 1, 1991 at the Fiesta Bowl in Tempe, Ariz. That win stirred the momentum to build Papa John's Cardinal Stadium and eventually led to the Cards' victory over Wake Forest in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 2, 2007.

9. Kentucky and Duke played what is considered the greatest game in the history of the NCAA Tournament on March, 28, 1992 in Philadelphia. The Blue Devils topped the Wildcats, 104-103, on Christian Laettner's jump shot at the buzzer, a video clip that still annoys UK fans.
