Lawrence played hard tonight. They are really starting to show improvement. They trailed by 4 at halftime and seemed to be getting belfry on the ropes. A few bad calls and turnovers just kinda put it away. Thompson and Copley both got into foul trouble with Copley fouling out in the 4th about halfway through. The dawgs are getting better and I think this will be an extremely tough team come tournament time. The underclassmen just need sometime to mature and get better.

Very Physical Game!

Thompson had 16 and 10 and Bradley Had around 20 C. Thompson had around 10

#23 did most of the scoring for Belfry, and Matt Maynard was pretty much shut down, he may have had 10 points give or take, Lot of turn overs about 5 in a 1 min span that jumped the lead to 10 points middle way through the 2nd half, I would say we had close to 20 or 30 turn overs.

We didn't do as good of a job on him as you think. Actually Batpuff Maynard ended up with 20 points. It might not have seemed like it but thats what he had. I think that Case ended up with 21. Belfry' s backcourt is what makes them tuff. It was a pretty good game until the 4th quarter.

Batpuff, any word on the new weapons?

Maynard missed a few shots but he didn't have a *bad" nite.. the big guys finally got _some_ passes but the game was a bit too physical to follow thru on half. But belfry has an, ok night, congrats pirates!

Congrats Pirates!!!

A real physical game, the refs missed alot of calls on both teams... BTW the technicanl called on Case was bogus. Him and the guy from Lawrence co. both had ahold of the ball, when the wistle blew, Case let go of the ball and the guy from LC had all of his momentium pulling away from Case and he flew backwards, the ref tried saying case pushed him, it simply did not happen...

#11 from LC is a tough basketball player...

I really did see the call, all i saw was the kid from LC go flying to the floor, The one ref was just horrible, (the older dark hair guy. I no his name but I am not going to put it in here) he couldnt call his way out of a wet paper bag, made bad calls all night on both sides, i bet they missed a total of 25 reach in fouls on both sides,. And Maynard scoring 20 really surprises me because it sure did look like he made 10.

congrats belfry good job

I've also noticed that LC gets the shaft from the refs every single game. So much for the level playing field.

Gongrats Pirates
Batpuff you must have not been watchin the game Maynard played a great game and had maybe 2 turnovers.he was really shut down lol.and every time that Matt and Jamie drove the lane they were fouled just about everytime and never was called
#22
did i once say he played a bad game, I said that he possibly only had 10 or so points, and if that was the case he was shut down, and then in a later post i said that he sure didnt look like he scored 20 more like 20, and as far as being fouled everytime he drove i could say the same thing when Thompson went to the lane was fouled everytime.
