Nobody and I mean nobody knows who the next coach at Letcher Central will be. There is no method to the madness of how our county hires coaches. In my opinion our Supt. already knows who she wants and she is probably in the process of bringing that coach in here as we speak. Interviews are useless and and applying for the job is a waste of time for anyone interested in getting it. Just a straight honest answer from a concerned Cougar fan. I just hope she brings someone in that really wants to be here and that person is not concerned with padding their retirement or just looking at the $$$$$$ because our boys deserve more than that. Next year can be a good year for this team because they return enough talent and size to be competitive but the following years will take a special coach to get the kids out that are not playing and for those young kids that are playing they need someone that truly cares about them and will put in the time and effort to develop them.

HE is at SV and if the LCC people are interested then they need to forget it, he did a good job this year and will build the program up and with the young talent they have don't be surprised if they are not in the running for a district tilte in a few years

Well what's that matter? Ive seen him play at Jenkins before, and he is quick and strong. But on the downside he is slow, has no footwork, and is very LAZY! So I really think that LCC is getting a over-rated player. Also the guy has no work ethic. So my final opinion on this kid is that he is a MAJOR waste of time!

the kid is 6 6 and 260lbs and runs a 4.9 40, slow by butt. This has to be somebody from jenkins my guess Larry maggard. has to be a hater and a a--hole. he shout down pikeville himself. he will be a four year starter. stop hateing and wish him luck LM........

Hey Yogi, I am just been completely honest you can ask anyone over her who Stepp is and no one would know. Shelby Valley football isnt anything to LCC. Unless The old Basketball coach wants to come with him then we would love to have him, but jason and Hillary are happpy where they are. So Stepp is not our guy. Would rather have a Chapman, Holland or an Haddix. The people here would not be happy with Stepp Im sorry. Truth hurts.

It doesn't hurt me. Again, like I said before, I don't care who you hire. Is is just your attitude toward it all that kills me. Holland has never won a high school game and you'd be happy with that?

Hey you dont like Stepp that is fine, how many head coaching jobs have you had, maybe you should apply, you sound like you are the answer to LCC's problems. Oh and BTW if you got Chapman you would have it made because the recruiting would never be questioned there. If you get Holland then maybe you will get the next great coach, but he has yet to have a win on his record. I can guarntee you that Haddix is happy at PCC, I really dont think he would want to come to a place like LCC. Plus you should know Stepp he beat you guys when he was at Clay2 ouot of 3 years. He also coached the top passer ever in state in Zack Lewis and then this year SV rushed for 4000 yards, pretty versatile if you ask me, to be able to change up offenses to fit personnel like that. He also took Berea to the playoffs 3 out of 4 years and was either 1st or 2nd in the ditrict 3 of those years., won a district title at Harrison in his only year there. I do not understand why all the hatred toward Stepp, but he does not want to come there, so end the discussion about him because you seem obsessed with him to some degree.

Hardcore1 its pretty obvious that you are totally obsessed with this stepp guy you know his stats since Clay County days. Well I am just informing you no one here at LCC wants your guy okay. Were not just looking to win a district title and go to the playoffs. We are use to that kind of stuff here in Letcher County when we have a coach that can get our kids out and exited again about football. Harlan has a great coach and we love to play them. Its not we would not want a guy like Larkey it just exiting to play them the atmosphere use to be electric over here when we played ant the same thing about Perry. We do not think we are to good for any one but honestly I dont think Stepp is in the same league as a Chapman and other guys. Im sorry and Hardcore1 trust me I am talking from experience. For the record LCC owned Clay County Zack Lewis junior and Senior year.

Why get on hear and talk bad about an 8th grader. The Hall kid could be one of the best players that Letcher County has seen in a long time. Who would blame him to go play at LCC. They have one of the best facilities around, and you will be part of an great football atmosphere. Jenkins Haters can just get over it!

I heard through the grape vine over here that John Hines of Pulaski might be interested in the Letcher Central job. I am told he doesn't want to ruffle any feathers at Pulaski, so it is hush hush. I don't think he has any connection to Letcher County, does he? I hate to even put that out there, cause I don't know if it is true. I am a big PC football fan and would hate to see Hines go. Anybody else heard that?

I hope the moderator shuts you down after you try to start a subscription and start off calling coaches names like that. We don't need trash like that on this good site
