2012 NCAA Tournament

I think so. I never disagreed with it - I actually like the fact that we may have a matchup with Indiana, or even dUKe. Throw in a tougher road, and it will also make UK look better should we win it. I think we will be seeing UConn in the second round. They're very beatable, but that would be a tough trap game for us. I am more concerned about that game than the sweet 16 game. I honestly don't think we would be seeing dUKe, or even IU, in the third/fourth rounds. I don't think IU will be able to handle that big guy from Wichita State.

Now all of a sudden people take credence in what Dickie V says??? We have heard nothing on the message board about how Divkie V is an ACC homer and nothing he says can be taken seriously by virtually every UK fan alive, and NOW he's credible???Confusednicker:

I want to know why UConn was placed in our bracket when St. louis was put into Mich St's? I believe the #1 overall is supposed to get the worst of each seed. UConn is not the worst 9 seed.

I assumed #1 overall got the worst 2, best 3, worst 4, best 5.

That's not how it works. Only the top 16 teams are seeded, then it is to be based on regions and travel!
#37
I disagree. I think it's based on intriguing matchups. I said it earlier. Look at all for regions and you can see how the selection committee sets up what they think will be the most interesting matchups.
#38
^ I'm just stating what the process is and that is that the top 16 are seeded. So sure, I can see them making it the best match-up and one where you know the teams will travel after the top 16.

I'm just saying I dont believe their method is nearly a scientific as they say it is. I'm not arguing the fact with you. I just wish they would say OK, this looks like it could be entertaining instead lying and saying they don't look at it that way. I don't have a problem with it I just wish they would admit it.

That looks like a bunch of pissed off wildcats after losing today.
Personally, im happy. They will come out with a lot more heart the next time out.
#42
Look Wildcat fans, Kentucky is either the best team in the nation or not. If they're the best team, then their draw won't be much of an issue. I don't think UConn will beat Iowa State, I don't think Indiana will get past Round 2, if UK meets Duke or Baylor in the Elite 8, there may be some issues. All in all, Kentucky will be fine.

The only #1 I think will have early issues is Syracuse. Cincinnati and Notre Dame both showed that if you attack the middle to get open outside looks, and force them to shoot from outside, then they're highly beatable.
#43
I think the west region is gonna be the best region to watch in terms of great games. Mich St, Missouri, Florida, Marquette, Murray St, Louisville. Could be up for grabs from the start.
#44
Does anyone else think Murray State got robbed?
I know there not a top team in the country, but to only lose one game the entire year and be seeded that lowly it pretty bad.
Drexel got the big ax as well.
#45
I don't mind UK's path.

I completely agree with you! It's about money and they know for example that they're going to get high ratings out of a Indiana/Kentucky rematch and obviously if Kentucky and Duke matchup, that might get the highest ratings besides perhaps the Final Four games considering that it's the 20 year anniversary of "The Shot" as they call it.

Kentucky Revenge Tour 2012

Although I don't think we'll get the chance to crack Indiana.
#48
The team I hope we get to play in the first round - WKU. I still remember when they came into Rupp and won back in 2001...they had Chris Marcus and Patrick Sparks on their team, and beat a UK team that had Tayshaun Prince, Keith Bogans and everybody...so it would be nice for some revenge on them as well.
#49
^
I remember that as well.
It was a little 4 team tourney and everyone expected UK to blow out WKU and play in the last game that weekend.
lol, UK was stuck playing the loser of the other game.
The next year Sparks was at UK and the rest it Tubby history.
