LOL, like you have room to talk shit on the #1 team on earth after a SEC Championship game loss to a team we had already beaten twice, when your team couldn't even make the championship of it's own conference..

:trolldad:

3rd times a charm.
MKG fouling out def hurt UK.
Miller played very good. Would had been another MVP for him.
All in all, I like this loss. Will only make UK hungrier in the NCAA tourney.

Good run for vandy

Rather it now then later.

In 1996, the Kentucky Wildcats had the Number One team in the country all year long. They only lost one game in the regular season. They went undefeated in the SEC regular season. They then lost the SEC championship to the 2nd Best team in the SEC. They then cruised to a National Championship. The 2012 Kentucky Wildcats have had the best team in the Country all year long, They only lost one game during the regular season, they went undefeated in the SEC, and they lost in the SEC championship game to the 2nd best team in the SEC. Here's to history continuing to repeat itself.

Well boys, we can't win em all. Out of the entire SEC, Vandy has been the only team to actually challenge us in our two games with them. The semi vs Florida took alot out of us today, but this was just a supurb and clutch effort from Vandy. Kentucky played good enough to win the entire game, but Vandy just kept battling back.

With MKG fouled out in the last 4 mins, Vandy went to zone, and that meant we had two shooters in in Lamb and Miller instead of a shooter, Lamb, and a slasher, MKG. We needed MKG slashing on Vandy's zone, so he could either pass out to the open 3, find TJ/AD for a short jumpshot or dunk, or take it to the rim himself...

If anything, this loss hurts so much less than a normal loss would for a few reasons.

1. Out of all SEC teams, Vandy is the only team capable of beating us, and they almost did twice. I'm glad that if we had to lose, it was to Vandy instead of another SEC team.
2. It's frankly just a slice of humble pie...we nearly won this game when it is literally meaningless. We already have the #1 overall locked up. Kentucky's tough, resilient play yesterday against Florida and today against Vandy when the games are pretty much meaningless speaks for itself.

In the end, their zone and a MKG -less Kentucky lineup was the game-winning factor. If MKG hadn't fouled out, I have NO doubt we'd had just won. But, he DID foul out, and it is what it is. Congrats to Vandy, I'd rather them win the conference championship over the nasty Gaytors. They earned it.

This tournament and this loss will do nothing but MOTIVATE our boys going into the NCAA Tournament, and with the way our fans travel and the same team focus comeback ability we've had ALL season and displayed on many occasions, OUR boys and BIG BLUE NATION are ready for the RACE FOR #8!

Let's go get it boys! UK#8, throw those GO33LES UP BBN!

The loss really doesn't bother me. We needed a loss to put our minds back in order for the tourney. Lord have mercy on the team Kentucky faces in the next game we play. A complete spanking will be set loose.

That 96 team like todays team lost that SEC Championship in New Orleans.

We kept our game close the whole game, but Overrated's Cuse, was getting blown out by Cincy until they started to let up. Have fun when you play Vandy in the Big Dance and they beat you by 20.

Yeah, I was going to mention that. I think this game grounds them and now they know that they have to earn it and I feel bad for whomever is in Kentucky's bracket as I look for them to come out and make some statement games!

To add to your post, the 96 Championship team lost the SEC Championship in New Orleans and that loss was also their 2nd loss of the season so this team is looking eerily similar to that 96 National Championship team!

I don't like the fact that up 6 with more than 5 minutes to go again UK goes to clock killing mode and killed their momentum. Still say its like the prevent defense in football.

Worst defensive game Davis has played all year. Looked a step behind all day. That's the third time theyve played Vandy. You know the screens are comming and the cuts that follow.

I don't know about it being a good loss. Looked to me like they just got out toughed today.

I actually stole that from someone on facebook but they didn't give the location of it

In 1951, Vandy won their first SEC title against UK. While that same year who was the National Champs? UK. History has been known to repeat itself.

Wow these comparisons are kinda scary lol! I did some further research and that loss to Vandy in 1951 was also their 2nd and final loss of the season!

UK didn't play very well the entire tournament. Pure talent won the first two games and today it was actually going to take a good effort by UK to win and they just couldn't ever get it together and Vandy simply played lights out, just as Florida did yesterday.

I'm not one of those people who say, "we needed to lose a game before the NCAA", but I do believe we needed to lose a game like this. We played 3 teams over the past 3 days that brought their A-game and got physical with us. I'm sure Calipari loved seeing his team get roughed up like they did, because these boys needed to realize that they weren't unbeatable and no one is backing down from them.

Vanderbilt is a team that is capable of making a run in the tournament, however I've thought the same in the past and they always lose in the 2nd round or the sweet 16. Hopefully they can at least get to the elite 8 this year, because they have all the ingredients to beat just about everyone.

Did you all know it's Anthony Davis Birthday and that MKG went to Coach Cal and said that Darius Miller deserved to start over him
#28
This is a "good" loss for UK. I put good in quotations because nobody wants to lose, but this loss takes that invincible feeling away from the players and will refocus them. I think all UK fans could see that this team was getting over-confident in their play. Now that they know they're beatable, they'll be a lot more careful with how they play.

Yeah, I as well as all of my friends HATE Digger and wish he would go!

I thought that was a very nice gesture by MKG, allowing Miller to start in his last SEC Championship game!
