Two ex-MurrayState players arrested
#1
MURRAY, Ky. — Former football players, a fraternity, a fight and a furious mother.

"When you mix alcohol with these football boys, they think what they say is law, what they do is law. That's the Murray State football boys,” mother Linda Graves said.

She is angry because her son ended up in the hospital and two former Murray State University football players are behind bars.

It all started at an off-campus party at the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity house as many students were celebrating the basketball team's appearance in the O.V.C. Championship Game.

Police said they are investigating multiple incidents at different weekend parties.

The victim's mother wouldn't let us see her son because she said his injuries are so bad, his face swollen and jaw broken. Police said Devon Graves was actually defending a female friend who was being harassed at the party and then former football players turned on him.

"My son is a very well liked individual," Graves said. "He could've looked at one of them wrong. He could've breathed wrong. Maybe his dance move wasn't right for the football boys."

She said her son tried to avoid a fight inside the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity house in Murray late Friday night but he couldn't escape.
