This is a final from the 9th Region. The favorite to advance to Rupp and play its opener against the 14th is eliminated. I guess this makes Holmes the new team to beat.

Dixie Heights was a lot of people's choice to win the 9th. Upsets in a lot of the districts is following right into the regions.

This is a shocker -- not only the fact that Cooper won, but also the margin of victory over the No. 1 team in Northern Kentucky. Heck, Cooper might be the unlikely favorite now to go downstate and represent the 9th ... similar to what Newport did a couple years ago. Cooper has already shown it can beat Boone and Holmes. Lots of parity in the region this year. Congrats to Coach Sullivan (Holmes grad).

Cooper is playing well at the right time. The 9th is wide open, any of these teams could represent

With Cooper beating Boone in the District Finals, this does not shock me at all.
