Great job Chokeadores. Blame it all on Coach Hatcher, fans. Players win or lose games. Hatcher did play slow down ball a little but he cant help it that you chockadore players shot 15 more shots than Buckhorn did and you STILL LOST. It really didnt matter what style of ball Hatcher played, when you are BETTER at every single position, YOU SHOULD STILL WIN. Quit blaming it all on the Old Man. Its also a shame that a SO CALLED D1 player couldnt score more than 8 points on a 5'11 white kid that weighed 145 pounds soaking wet. Perrys players stood and watched all night long hoping the grade school boy could bail them out like he did all year long last year when it got tight. Well you guys should of played harder and moved around and tried to score or do something. Hatcher cant help that his players dont have a sack. Style of play should be thrown out the door. Players fault. Deer in headlights. :devilflam

Perrys a football school now anyway. I heard they are going to start putting all their recruiting efforts into football instead of basketball starting this summer!

LOL, thats a.ll I can say

Some people dont like the truth. Its not Hatchers fault Perry lost. Get over it. Everyones not going to roll out the red carpet for you and Buckhorn apparently didnt for PCC. Sometimes you got to put up a fight and earn a W.

Buckhorn is a much better team than people give them credit for. Should PCC have been the favorite? Yep. Did they have better players on paper? Yep. Paper, odds, and favorites don't always win. In saying all of this, I don't think PCC "Choked" I just think they were beaten.

It all falls back on the coach from the game plan, practice and preparation for the game. If the coach does not prepare you then the players will not be ready to play.

Im not talking about the breathitt kids he brought With him. Im talking studs from a state like Texas or Florida. I mean if they can bring in talent from ny for bball one can only hope we get to see a 5 star qb or running back in the next couple of years. I know id be excited to watch.

LOL. So everytime a team loses it is the coaches fault. You are giving way to much credibility to high school kids. You can teach them over and over but sometimes they are not going to produce. Lack of basketball IQ, alternative distractions, and knowitall parents are also problems that plague some teams.

A lot can be said for a group of players that have played together for a long time.

You gotta win something before you can start this kind of talk. Hazard is still king of football in perry county.

You could bring Urban Meyer in here and let him coach football at Perry Central and it still wouldnt be a FOOTBALL SCHOOL.
02-27-2012, 11:52 AM
i dont see it being the coaches fault at all. yea hes the one gettin them prepared but bottom line is its the players on the floor who make it happen. i still think pcc was the better team and wouldve had a better shot at making the most of a sweet 16 trip but buckhorn came out and just out played them. it was buckhorns night and the PLAYERS made the best of it.

It was the Horns night. Hope it will be the Horns night the next 3 games.

You are 100% correct. The problem with some fans is their basketball IQ hovers around 2. Some of the fans are parents who overvalue their child's intelligence, work ethic, intestinal fortitude and oh yeah, basketball skills. This is still a minority, but they are usually the loudest at ball games and usually make fools of themselves.

What would you say your basketball IQ is? Just wondering. Mine would be 5.

It is high enough that I do not scream and yell at a coach from the stands and blame him or her for everything that goes wrong. It is also high enough that I would, most of the time, give the benefit of the doubt to a coach before I would a scatterbrained bunch of teenagers, for which some, have their own personal self-centered agendas which is fueled at home by their parents. I would trust Coach Hatchers decision making over any fan, coach, or player in Perry County. He is a proven winner.

I was shocked at the Letcher/Knott game that even Letcher's own pep section was yelling at their own coach. Screaming for a time out when they got down 14..telling him to put someone else in..shaking their heads at him..etc. It was quite humorous, but also surprising.
