Collins big man on the rise
#1
Collins High School has one of the top teams in the Eighth Region and has one of the better unknown big men on the state.

Senior Brian Stone has emerged as a solid prospect.

The 6-foot-8 Stone is averaging 14 points a game and is shooting a state-leading 75 percent field-goal percentage.

Collins coach Chris Gaither said Stone currently has full ride offers from Malone University and Mid-Continent. He said Campbellsville, Lincoln Memorial University, Berea College and Stetson University have also been interested.

Brian has greatly improved his game this season and has been key for Collins this year. He has been impressive towards the end of the season and put up 24 and 11 in their win against Bullitt East being guarded by Derek Willis. He had 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 blocks in the district championship and could very well lead Collins to a regional championship. Brian is a great kid and I wish him the best of luck at the next level.

You can not teach 6'8 and he must have the skills to go with that.

Sounds like a good prospect for the Kentucky All Star team this summer. Seems like we're always a little short in stature when the Bluegrass has to play the Hoosiers.
