Just wandering who you guys would have as the coach of the year for this season?
If Lincoln Co makes it to the state tournament, id go with JEff Jackson. he has taken a team with not much talent and beaten a top 10 team and lost by a combined 3 points to 2 other top ten teams in the state, including Madison Central.

If john noble shocks the world and beats pcc and wins the 14th than I think he should be considered.

Thats true, i hadnt considered that one but now that i do, if that happens he could very well be named COTY.

Right now I am saying Denny Fugate but if John does beat Hatcher, there will be a strong argument for him. Also taking Buckhorn to the All A will help him as well.

Jeff Jackson has done a great job with young team this year at Lincoln. Like you said, they lost to Madison Central by 1 point. They have had a good season this year - much better than I thought they would.

Shawn Thacker at RCHS is one of the best coaches in the state!

Noble at Buckhorn.. they questioned would this team buckle under pressure and the All A and the upset over PCC proves they won't buckle... Noble = Coach of the Year... I am sure Noble will get some offers from various schools in the regions...

I think Noble is the frontrunner at this point.
But never count out Denny Fugate.
He will look to win that District and push for the Regional Title.
Perry Central is out of it but I can honestly say I'm still excited to see the way this pans out.

I can tell you right now that Jeff Jackson is a heck of a coach. I dont care where he gets coach of the year or not.In a time when coaching is less than average this guy takes it to a new level. He understands the game he understands tempo and his kids execute. He is the best coach I have seen in the state in years and put him on the level of Mike Flynn at Highlands..My top 2 for the state and have seen most all of them. Trinity has a good one aswell.I would have to include him now that I think of it. Those 3 in no particular order.

John Noble-Buckhorn.
I picked Noble to win COY a couple weeks ago and now with another signature win on the season last night against the #7 team in the state,no question who should get COY in the 14th.

Coach Varney at Phelps.

I'd have to consider Jame Derossett last year Pburg won only 7 games. This year they have 16 wins and won the 58th District Championship. Big one year turn around. Record my not be as good as the others being talked about but considering where they were I think he should get some consideration for it anyway.
