Middlesboro made a great hire with Russell Thompson. He is a very good young coach. They return most of their team next year. They are you great younger kids too. Congrats to Mboro. Look out Bell and Harlan County in the future. I just hope Mboro can keep Thompson.

I was present at the game and Middlesboro made big shots all game long. The score was 50-48, Middlesboro for like 3 minutes and HC had several chances to even the game or take control. Harlan Co. kids and fans should keep their heads up. They are like 27-5 and still have a chance to win the 13th. Congrats to Middlesboro and good luck to both teams in the regional.

Haha I mean i hate to say it, but you did say it'd be by at least 15. I loved every second of it, myself! It was a great game and came down to the wire. The atmosphere was great and both student sections had class in the win. I do feel bad for whoever has to play HC because you guys are a darn good team. It's almost not fair!

Good win for the Middlesboro Yellowjackets. Middlesboro wanted it more and deserved to win. Coach Russell Thompson has done a great job this year going from 3 wins last year to 18 wins this year. He should be 13th Region Coach of the year. Hope my Black Bears do better next week in Corbin. Great tournament this year in the 52nd District.

This is got to be a hard one on the players and Coaching staff. Harlan Co. has had such a great year. According to the KHSAA this is Harlan Co's first loss against a 13th region team.
