Johnson went Vince Carter cut throat on em in the 3rd quarter. The one handed dunk and foul was Lonnell Dewalt esque for those of you that know about that.
#3
Monster dunks with defenders.

That was possibly one of the best efforts I have ever seen from a Paintsville team. If they had played like that all year things would be different right about now. the future is incredibly bright for this team. A team starting three 8th graders gave the favorites to win region everything they wanted, a well coached game especially in the first half for Paintsville. And a very well officiated game. All around this game is the reason I love the 57th district tournament.

Very surprised and impressed with Paintsville's effort. Congrats Cards!

SO VERY proud to be a TIGER! I hate getting beat and it REALLY sucks. Cause this was the last time I will ever see my son wearing that #2 TIGER Basketball Uni. I can say that I am PROUD of him. He may not have been a super star. BUT, you knew exactly what you were getting when he hit that floor. That was...everything that he had to give. He may be gone next season. But, I'm NOT!

Already reserved my seat for next season! I'm gonna follow these young ones to Rupp before they graduate!!!

Good game with some bad officials that's for sure

Really? The DeWalt dunk was maybe the nastiest I've seen on the HS level.

Congrats SC...Was Moore limited to mins?

Yes he did. And he should have been T'd up for it! Should have also been a T issued when a time out was called and most of the players from SC's bench hit the floor.... one was all the way past half court!

Free throw totals:
PHS: 3/3

SC: 10/14

And yes we were in the paint all night long. another case of ..shaking heads and swallowed whistles.

These were all three wide open opps. One of them there was a phantom foul on daniels i guess that is where he is getting that from idk. Not even close to the DeWalt dunk. OTOH Justin Johnson is the best big man in this district. The JC posters will disagree but as a neutral observer I can honestly say Johnson is better.

Yes it was that environment was unreal for HS Bball.

I'll have to see the replay but there's a chance it was that serious.

Moore played the whole game, this was a fun game to be with iffy calls on both ends. Naturally sc is going to get more opportunitys at the foul shot line just because they go inside an attack the rim, as to where paintsville settles for the jumpshot. But pville put up a good fight.

That dunk came off a turnover Dawg. Remember?

What about the Pville coach leaving the coaching box all night looked like he was out playing D on some plays

Shane hall goes weak alot and seems to not like contact. Johnson however goes hard in the paint and loves to draw contact. I would actually go so far as to say that Johnsons FG Percentage is probably higher when he draws contact from the opponent. If he was a few inches taller He would be a D-1 player for sure. He could be now at this point.

Haven't seen one coach stay in it all season long. Including yours. "cut throats" and mass bench clearing warrant it EVERY time! Heck my son got one once, after he chest bumped his on player for a "and-one".

There were three oppurtunities for SC to receive Technicals, and the throat slashing is a BIG no-no. Especially at a friggin 8th grader. The third was a elbow thrown by little #3 (cant remember his name) At Trimble.
#24
Congrats to SC. Great game. 3 big dunks by Johnson but they had to originate from somewhere... who assisted?
#25
I was at this game, Johnson played awfully amazing. I seen him do the cut throat sign and yea it was a little over board but I can say he didn't do it to an 8th grader. He looked at the crowd when he did it and said, "IT'S OVER." Dont get jealous because he made a poster out of Kash Daniels.

His name is Chase Parsley. If he threw an elbow he was probably getting them off him because the refs sure didn't do their job by calling the fouls.

Were we watching the same game?
#28
I finally got to watch in person and what a game! The Cards have a really good team top to bottom and the Johnson kid is something else and really like their guards shooting and dribble drive attack. Paintsville will be something else in a couple years, heck maybe next but they have a good core group and what about that effort from them. Trimble drives hard to the basket, Daniels is a man already, and Miller is long and unselfish. This program is on its way up after tonight IMO.
