RomneyCare
#1
Caught a segment of Gretta VanSusteren last night. I didn't know the Massachusetts supposedly state run health care program was funded largely by federal tax dollars. Clinton, & Kennedy brokered the deal in which around 600 million federal tax dollars go to the Mass health care program. Kentuckians are paying for Massachusetts folks health care. To quote Herman Cain, "How's that workin for ya?" I've never heard Romney say a word about this before. No wonder they were able to accomplish this feat without raising taxes.

This is one example of why I don't like Romney as our nominee. A whole lot of smoke and several mirrors.

^I probably left a point unclear, the 600 million is a yearly drain on the federal budget. Romney and Teddy Kennedy were big buds in those days of negotiation. The whole thing, RomneyCare, has been a misrepresentation of the truth intended to mislead the public to an acceptance, of what is billed as a successful state health care program operating flawlessly without raising taxes. The truth is RomneyCare would not be possible without federal tax dollars.

This is the hypocracy of Washington, Clinton, Kennedy and Romney cooked up this shell game utilizing the typical liberal fuzzy math to glorify the MODEL and forerunner of what was to become ObamaCare. The main claim to fame was supposedly the fact that the Massachusetts system was set up and is running without the need to raise taxes. Appropriating my and your tax dollars to pay for the residents of Massachusetts health care. The whole plan has revealed another way government officials use slight of hand to fund their pet projects and bilk the federal taxpayer out of millions of dollars every year. The whole thing is a lie! And, I believe misappropriations or misdirections or federal funds should be and probably is illegal. I am reminded of the old saying popular during the 30's and 40's "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch". Tavern owners of the era used this enticement to get people in to drink. Milton Friedman used this very saying as the title for perhaps his best book in 1975. Every candidate to public office should have to give a book report on Mr Friedman's work in the well of the Senate before he/she could be sworn in.

Folks, we can't get something for nothing. Obama thinks of money, like he thinks of a big swimming pool. In his Keynesian tainted mind we can just keep skimming money off the top cause the water company can just keep making more if we need it. Therefore he thinks funding all these utopian social programs is no big deal. I'll line up on Friedman's side of the argument every time. It doesn't matter if we're talking about my household spending more than we take in or the whole country is spending more than it takes in. The result will ultimately the same, BANKRUPTCY. Oh I agree it takes a long time to dip out enough water to notice a drop in the pool but we have reached that very point. In the case of the US, we have borrowed to the point of getting our credit downgraded. The water company is getting ready to turn off any new supply because our bill is so high. The pool will go dry and just as surely America will go bankrupt.

It's the same old "Great Society" nightmare. Ever have a bad dream that you kept dreaming over and over until mercifully you wake up? I hate when that happens! And yet this is the case with each new generation of liberally wide eyed. We have to beat back yet another assault on rational thought. I know America works, I lived the American Dream, and I can tell you it's nothing short of wonderful! Shell games and slight of hand are no way to run the economy of the United States. Keynesian Economics is a necessarily complex ponzi scheme meant to sedate unwitting ideologues when ever the reality of true accounting comes to call. Any rational thinking person knows 'There ain't no such thing as a free lunch" Or free health care
