What Is Your Favorite Scary Movie?
#1
What movie really makes you scared to turn off the lights?

For me--It has to be Friday the 13th part 3: 3D. I had nightmares for years about that movie. Matter of fact--the whole series still makes me nervous to watch.

What movie makes you nervous?

The Exorcism of Emily Rose was freaky because it is based on a true story.... The Omen was always a pretty scary movie as well, and Childs Play 1 was freaky.
#6

I wanted to watch The Exorcism of Emily Rose but a bunch of people from school came back and said that it was pretty boring in alot of parts and alot of it was just the trial and yea..ended up not going because I have ADD, I'm hard to entertain, and I just couldn't see myself sitting through an hour or so of court proceedings...

I was not impressed with TEOER. I love scary movies and this was just not interesting.
#17
My cousin went saturday and watched hostile and told me it sucked a**, advised that it was so stupid and didnt show anything, I was really looking forward to seeing it.

Have you watched Red Dragon?
#19
The best I've seen is "The Grudge"
#20
The excorcist, children of the corn, and the first halloween scared the crap out of me when i was a kid..

The grudge has some scary parts..

The blair witch project sucked.. ass.. but a few days after I watched it I was actually out in the hill walking around as it was getting dark, and parts of that movie kept coming back to me..

Red Dragon is a great movie..... I went and saw Wolf Creek and that had to of been the worst movie I have ever sat through.
#22
In the movie Carrie near the end when the hand came up out of the ashes I almost jumped through the roof...I wasn't expecting that.
#23
house of 1000 corpses is real good ...

and the first blair witch is good if you are at home with all of the lights out (as long as you have been camping)

I have not seen Manhunter. I have recently been getting into the horror movies that just make you think. I watched Red Dragon in my Forensics class. Not typically the type of movie that I would want to watch but I did and I ended up liking it.
#27
yea it is good.
#28
The original "Exorcist". Scariest movie ever made.....none close.
#29
my vote definately goes to the old classics, like the excorcist
