And to make matters worse Lee's Evans started running his mouth to Morris, that's a no no, especially to him because he will make you pay for it. Morris already said Evans wouldn't put up 40 in the Districts. Evans just fired up the wrong team, Estill will beat Lee in Districts!

Estill actually had a chance to tie it there at the end down 64-61 with a 3 but our player forgot how much time was on the clock and drove in for a 2 and missed it

No offense LeeCoUKFan but if it hadn't been for the Ref's Estill would have won. I really don't think no one is gonna beat Powell on there home court for the District Title. Was you there tonight? If I was Lee I wouldn't want to play Estill, not in the Districts. Evans made it even worse when he was running his mouth after the game. There's no sense in that. Coach Bentley told Coach Wright about it, I'm sure he will talk to Evans about it and tell him not to do it again but all it done was just made Estill madder than what they are, they can't wait for Districts and I've heard several people say that they wanted Lee in the Districts

I have to respectfully disagree with you. Lee Co only lost to Powell by 2 in Stanton and I think with another shot they will beat them.

Lee actually had Powell beat Twice, They was up 2 against Powell in the North Laurel Tournament and Marcum hit a 3 from Half Court to win the game for Powell. Lee had the shot at the buzzer and it went in and came out. I must ask, why go for the win when your on the road, why not go inside and go for a 2 and the tie to send it into OT?

I was right there too and as I was walking into the locker room (Walked right by Bentley and Wright) and they were talking, I'm assuming about what Evans was saying. That might not have been over the Evans deal but I do know they was talking and I did hear from some parents that Coach Bentley said he would make sure that those ref's wouldn't ref another game of his. Apparently he can say something about it the little skinny guy hasn't reffed none of our games for awhile and he was worse than Creech but I don't know if that's the case or if he's not been selected to ref our games. The ref's really were horrible. I know I can complain about them a lot or it seems like a lot but when the foul count before the first half is even over is 10-4 in favor of another team and there doing the same thing that another team is doing and not getting called for it, then you know something's up. The Foul total was 31-15 in favor of Lee. Lee shot 39 free throws to Estill's 11 but it also didn't help missing free throws again. It's hard to go into Lee County and win just like it is everywhere else

He's just a freshmen. He's also the Starting Varsity QB in Football.

I mean this isn't the first time that Creech has called calls against Estill.

Estill had 3 to foul out while Lee had 0 and they really were doing the same thing to Estill as Estill was doing to them.

I was at the game last night and the game was fairly officiated lee just took it to estill and beat them and I expect the same at district time if lee finds their stride they will beat Powell also.

So it was alright for Lee to ride the Estill players up and down the court but it wasn't right for Estill to do the same? what about that foul that was called on Jenkins (#12) that split 2 lee defenders, didn't even touch them and he gets called for a foul or what about that bogus charge that rick creech called on him? The guy was in mid air in his shooting motion and barley touches the lee defender and he get's called for a charge when it was far from it? I don't see how any team especially Breathitt County, Hazard, PCC or KCC could go into Lee County and win because the ref's are horrible.

Did anybody hear about the incident between Coach Angel from Lee and the guy with the pony tail who coaches at Estill? I hear Coach Angel left the bench and chased him out the door then got stopped in his tracks when the guy from Estill just flat out choked the crap out of him. Is this true? Any truth at all? What has been done about it? If I heard right, the Estill guy was just a fan that night? Has Lee punished Angel...a coach shouldn't leave the bench like that EVER... Anybody?

I wasn't there but I heard the same thing. I couldn't tell you the details but That's what I was told by a Lee County fan before the Varsity game. He said as both the coach and the fan went to walk out the doors the lee county coach bumped into him and the fan turned and grabbed him by the neck. The Estill fan (who was a coach but isn't coaching anymore) was barred from the Varsity Game. If anything else happened you would have to ask someone else. I do know the fan and his son personally, he doesn't take people talking at his son, which I'm not saying that the Lee County Coach was doing it because I don't know. They are good people once you get to know them.

I heard the Estill dude had a copy of the Constitution in his pocket and was quoting it, calling a lawyer in Paintsville, and basically just caused such a commotion that the local cop just said, "Heck, he may sue us all... get him out of here...send him home." I don't know about that but I was told that he went to jail and that he was told not to come to the Varsity Game That's all I was told. He can be hot headed but once you get to know him he's a pretty nice guy. When I first heard about it, I was told it was Powell County then when I got to Lee County, the Lee County fan said no it was Lee

I can't wait to see Estill's Team next year. Estill and Owsley only lose 2. Powell and Lee lose about the same. 7 I think. Powell's losses are really gonna hurt them

I will say I have seen improvement from both teams over the past month. Not much but some. The fight was at the JV game and sometimes adults need to grow up. Coach should not go after someone and a fan can't worry what someone says. Strike, just asking, but didn't Estill have to run after they got back from Lee, and Morris kid got mad??? From what I've seen and hear they may have internal situations going on??? Not sure.. That's why I'm aasking you Strike because I think you will tell the true story about what's going on. I like coach Bentley and I hope he stays but I liked there previous coach (can't remember his name - sorry) but parents can make it hard on coaches these days... But good luck at districts to all the teams in the 56th

Coach Bentley didn't say anything about them running while I was in the locker room. Yea Morris wasn't mad he was Pi**ed because of what Evans said, I'm sure everything would have been cool but Evans took it too far and called Morris a Bi*ch and that's the wrong thing to say to that kid and it not only pi**ed Morris off but it also pi**ed Estill's Evans and Baber off. Last Time Estill played in Powell's Gym, Baber lit it up from behind the Arc. He was 5/9 from 3 with 20 something points against Ryle and Ryle is huge, alot more physical than Lee County is. He was also knocking them down against Prestonsburg. I haven't heard anything about a internal Situations, After everyone left the Locker Room they seemed fine. Coach Bentley was talking to Estill's AD, laughing and going on from what I could see

We're not having internal situations. Me and Coach Bentley have talked about Next Year's Schedule and he said if he hosted a tournament it would be an 8-16 Team instead of a 1 Day classic like we use to host.
