The Real Reason I Can't Vote For Gingrich

Truth Wrote:Since Barry never refers to being half Caucasian, your question is moot.

There is no political capital to be gained by him by mentioning his "other half".

He can call himself anything he wants, but biology says that he is 50% one and 50% the other.

But I know what you're getting at.

Thank you to nky for posting the portraits of squirrels-any one of which would do a better job than Barry.

I like Santorum, alot. Screw Newt...he reminds me of that fat kid in your class that will never shut the hell up about himself and how awesome he is, when in reality, he'll never get laid, much less do any of the things he claims he's done.

Although Newt does have a hot wife, definitely an upgrade from the last 7. I'd love a crack at that.

Quote:Lady Lake, Fla. —
Newt Gingrich, trying to claw his way back into contention before Florida holds its crucial primary in two days, railed Sunday against rival Mitt Romney’s claim that Gingrich did not work as closely with President Reagan as the former House speaker asserts.

“I am, in fact, the legitimate heir to the Reagan movement, not some liberal from Massachusetts,” Gingrich said on Sunday.

He noted that Reagan’s son Michael will be campaigning with him on Monday, “which should tell you how false the ads were earlier this week by Romney that suggested I wasn’t a Reagan Republican.”

He made the remarks to thousands of seniors gathered at the Villages, a massive retirement community in Central Florida that is a GOP enclave and a common stop for presidential hopefuls.

Romney, who will be holding a rally there Monday, bought a full-page ad in the local newspaper on Sunday that featured a letter from 1996 GOP presidential nominee Bob Dole disparaging Gingrich’s performance as House speaker. Dole, who is backing Romney, wrote that most of Gingrich’s ideas were “off the wall,” that Gingrich cost the GOP seats in the House and hurt Dole’s bid in 1996, and that if Gingrich wins the GOP nomination, President Obama could have a landslide victory.

Some very good and funny comments at the end of the story.

Who woulda thunk it? Los Angeles Time readers don't like Newt Gingrich. I am shocked.

Newt has exaggerated his role in the Reagan legacy but Newt describing himself as a conservative is not nearly as big a stretch as Romney claiming to be a conservative - or Obama claiming to be anything other than a hard core socialist.

At this point Santorum and Paul appear to be the most honest candidates of either party and it's not even close, IMO.

The Republican party is moving to the left. That's why Mitt has the lead. The vocal minority of wingers will be disappointed and left out in the cold again this cycle. Sorry.

Your're wrong, as usual. The Republican leadership has been to the left of the rank and file fo a long time but the reason that Romney is leading is that he can afford to outspend the other GOP candidates by a wide margin. If Romney gets the nomination the vocal right wingers will be disappointed, but we will still celebrate when the Obama regime goes down in flames on election day.

The "rank and file" keeps voting them in. Just sayin.......

I think I will save this one too. It isn't as "without a doubt", as some of the others though.

The rank and file nominate moderates like Dole, McCain, and Romney with a lot of help from Democrats and independents. Bookmark whatever you like. Unlike you, I admit my mistakes. I am a firm believer that people get the government that they deserve.

If you and your liberal friends manage to put Obama into the White House for a second term, then it may be the last mistake you make in a representative republic. That does not seem like something that a non-supporter of Barack Obama would be looking forward to gloating over, but whatever floats your boat. :lmao:

So the vocal right wingers who supposedly understand that Obama is "ruining our country" keep getting tricked by 30 second Romney ads. Confusednicker: That's a fine bunch to pin the hopes of your party on.

Just like the ones that fell for Obama's lies. The biggest majority of voters are fools.
