LaBront Scott, Lineman/Mayfield
#1
One of two junior defensive players from Mayfield on the first team, Scott is one of the top non-skill position junior prospects in the state.

The 6-foot-2, 230-pound Scott helped the Cardinals to the Class A title as a sophomore and a 14-1 record and loss to Hazard in the state final this season.

“We moved him around quite a bit,” Mayfield coach Joe Morris said. “The greatest thing about him is his pass-rushing ability. He’s so hard to block, and he does such a good job of chasing down from the backside.”

Scott finished with 99 tackles, 16 sacks, three fumble recoveries and one interception.

Scott has scholarship offers from Western Kentucky and Murray State. Kentucky coaches have been to the school to talk; Louisville and Vanderbilt are also showing interest.

“People should be getting on him hot and heavy when they see some more film on him,” Morris said. “I would think he would get several bigger offers.”

The article is fact, from size to ability

I agree.

His size makes him a better D1 prospect than Jackson. Purt near an unstoppable pass rusher.

He is underated for sure, opposing teams did not know much about him last this past season, it will be interesting this year to see how teams play him since he made a little noise this past season

The thing some people underestimate with this kid is how QUICK he is!! This guy can flat out move!
