San Francisco vs. New York Giants
#1
Sun., Jan. 22, 6:30 PM ET FOX

Who you got?
#2
Giants are really playing well right now and I want to pick them, but this will be a repeat of week 10 when the 9ers won 27-10 in the confines of their own stadium.
#3
San Francisco - 34

New York Giants - 28
#4
If I was SF, I would strongly consider coming out in very heavy O personnel and just trying to bully the Giants
#5
You have to wonder how Alex Smith deals with the pressure of a championship game. This is "old hat" for Eli.
#6
49ers should go heavy personnel and take some shots downfield.
#7
Have the giants played in bad weather this year, trying to remember, can't think of a game
#8
Thing of it, this weather and the perceived advantage(s), is that random drops/slips/fumbles of the ball, hard to predict, could have a huge impact.
#9
Delanie Walker starts.
#10
LAST PLAY 2nd and 6 at SF 27: Alex Smith pass short left to F.Gore to SF 33 for 6 yards (D.Grant).

Alex Smith #11 QB

Frank Gore #21 RB

#11
What a block by Staley on JPP.
#12
Great coverage on that screen by Canty, but Gore makes it happen
#13
Mike Iupati got hurt there and will have to come out.
#14
Would be a major loss for SF's OL
#15
Jonathan Goodwin came out for a bit last week. 49ers OL depth a bit shaky now.
#16
Chilo Rachal is at RG. he was the starter to begin the season but struggled. The line got better with Snyder at RG replacing him.
#17
During the regular season, the 49ers ranked third in total yardage among 2 or more tight end sets with 3,007 yards and 331 yards rushing-second most in the league.
#18
So we have Snyder moving from RG to LG, with Rachal taking over at RG.
#19
Big crowd around Mike Iupati in 49ers bench area. Iupati seated. FB Bruce Miller was over there checking with him.
#20
49ers have got to stay the couse and let MANNING make the mistakes
#21
First San Francisco drive, picked up 26 yards and got a first down.
#23
Despite that missed throw, the Giants need to stick with a play-action approach. An improved run game has aided Eli Manning and the Giants’ play-action passing. Manning was 7 of 9 for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns when using a play-fake against the Packers in the Divisional Playoffs, his most yards in a game this season.
#24
Tons of time there-surprisingly
#25
Eli Manning all day there. 49ers have gotten no pass rush. Also, they did not deliver a big hit at the end of that reception.
#26
Looks like third-and-long is not a problem for the Giants. 49ers might have to get a little craftier with their rushes.
#27
During week 10 against the 49ers, Manning went 5 for 6 on third down throws to the sticks, for 111 yards and two touchdowns.
#28
If the Giants convert those long 3rd downs, it'll be a long day for the 49ers.
#29
Ahmad Bradshaw had five yards on three carries that drive. That's not the kind of production the Giants are looking to get from their running game.
#30
Frank Gore was wearing his red jacket in the huddle.
