It ain't right to be calling kids names on here. Nothing wrong with being critical of the Parents, if done with a reasoned argument. Calling names, should be against the TOS, to protect the proprietor of the site from litigation.
Glad to see a boy from the mountains, getting some love. That is a good thing, no matter how you break it down.

Congrats to Cam.......He made the right decision by going to the Knott Co program where he will get more exposure.....1.) because it is in a tougher region and 2.) He has a better team around him at Knott than he would at ER.......Knott Co has proven themselves by going to State, where ER hasn't.

The kid must be pretty good to garner this much attention.
As for High school, I am just suprised that Hicks from Scott County hasn't signed him.
As for college, How did he ever get out of third grade without signing a letter of intent to play for Gillispie at UK?

Cameron is a great player but he is just a Fr. For him to play D-1 like Louisville , Notre Dame etc... He still has some things he will need to improve on over the next 3 years.
Improve
- Ball handling
- On ball Def

I believe East Ridge won the 15th region not long after they became a new school from consolidation.

Not long after I joined BGR in 2006 I was giving an infraction for "getting off topic" (my only infraction). Now anything goes, I guess.

ok sorry..ER won ONE regional title in a decade......and that was what 10 years ago?.......other than that, that district has been dominated by SV...I can't even remember the last time ER went to region....thats not great exposure for the kid, he is around much better players at Knott Co.

But, I'll go with the old adage I've been going by thus far...don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all. Had to include it though.
How the hell are you a moderater? Talk about a coward. My definition would be a grown man calling a 15 year old a coward. That grown man IMO would be the coward. That is just totally wrong of you man. I have lost all respect for anything you have or may post in the future. :dontthink
I thought it was against the rules (the ones your suppose to be enforcing) to bash or call a kid names. That was just low of you Vundy.

As a freshman is he as good as the Justice from Valley was?
As Freshman's..

vundy is not a grown man, he is just a kid himself. How he became a moderator is a mystery.

I'm going to say yes, If not better......but Elisha Justice had a work ethic unlike anybody I've ever seen throughout his high school years....only time will tell If Cam has that sort of drive....

I'm going to say yes. But as someone has already said, Elisha became a monster after his freshman year because of how hard he worked! If Cam does that? He's going to be, very very special!!
Can't wait to see him progress.
If you need any assistance or want to report a problem feel free to PM me and we will get it taken care of! Thank you for choosing to be apart of the BGR community!

And for the comment to be made by a moderator all but means it is condoned by the site administration. I can understand if a person takes exception to the way things were done. They are certainly free to voice their displease. However, the comments that were made are totally unacceptable. I call on site administration to do the proper thing, IMMEDIATELY.
Not all administration agrees.
Everyone wanted rule changes and more freedom to cuss and other stuff. Posts like the ones above are allowed to be used/said because of the new freedoms everyone wanted.
People like me, that are not the biggest fans of the cussing and super-freedoms allowed have our hands tied. We are not really allowed to do anything.
I warned everyone that crying for more freedoms and to allow garbage, means that stuff like this will happen.
In the past before everyone cried for super-freedom, I would have deleted that post in a heart beat. Nobody really likes that though. Sadly, in life we cannot have our cake and eat it too.

See the post that I just posted above this one. Stuff like that is wrong, BUT with the new freedoms that everyone wanted, it REALLY reduced the powers of the administration here. Essentially, we are figure-heads or Mall-cops. Trust me, there are a few of us that are not the biggest fans of the rule changes and do not want stuff like this going on, but the owner of the site laid down the law, the rules were changed/clarified, and the power of the administration was lessened.
I hate to condone "letting loose" but with essentially no power to stop anyone, what could we do if y'all retaliated? NOTHING! If it makes you feel good to call him a coward, low life, etc... go for it, he isn't getting in trouble, and as long as he isn't, why should you?
Oh this is getting hard to do, lol. :HitWall:

The good lord knows I was unhappy about some things Raymond Justice did at Letcher Central, but leave his son alone. You can say what you want about an adult (within reason), but a 15 year old kid is totally different. Cameron is just a kid so lay off. How would you feel if some adult got on here and called your son a coward or anything else for that matter.

Overrated Wrote:As a freshman is he as good as the Justice from Valley was?

The two are different types of players, but I don't think there is any question that Cameron is a better scorer as a freshman. Elisha was a better ballhandler and he changed the game on the defensive end, going on to become the state's all time steals leader. Cameron is going to put up some huge career stats at this rate. They are both great players, and I'm sure Cameron would love to be as successful at the high school level as Elisha was...
01-16-2012, 10:15 PM
This is stupid. Cam is a great kid. I didn't agree with everything his dad did while he was here, but at the end of the day KCC put a great offer on the table for Raymond and his family and Pike Co. didn't match it. You can't be angry at that, it was good for him and his family. I wish Cam the very best and I hope he gets the College of his choice!
01-16-2012, 11:17 PM
A 13 year old kid does what his parents tell him to do. When they move he moves. Raymond used ER for what he needed them for and moved on. I didnt care much for Eric Ratliff loseing his job to make room for RJ. And RJ promised anyone who would listen that he was not moving untill Cam graduated. Not to mention the ER admin who by the way get bashed on this site often gave him every financial perk the Pike board would let them. But in the end they could not match the package KCC gave him. If someone down state offers more he will be gone again. As for Cam he was the best grade schooler I ever saw. He could be the best high schooler I ever saw down the road. At this stage he is a much better scorer than EJ but not as good defensive player.
01-16-2012, 11:32 PM
^ What is the "Package" that they game him?
01-16-2012, 11:46 PM
More money. Coach Justice works at the KC Board.
01-16-2012, 11:49 PM
I dont know the details. You will have to ask someone from KCC. All I know is Cam told his school buddies Dad will make a lot more there. Stardust you are one of the sane posters on BGR. I hope yoy are not trying to stir up the pot. I didnt say anything illegal took place just the jobs the parents got paid more than their job at ER
01-16-2012, 11:54 PM
^ No, when I saw package, that just comes off as odd! Can I ask, did the job offers to the dad influence where the son went to school? I'm not trying to stir the pot at all, so don't take it as that. But I'm really confused. Maybe I need to read the entire thread to get a better feel for what this is about.
01-17-2012, 12:01 AM
It wasn't anything illegal at all. Coach Justice had a long standing relationship with the KCC Coach and the KC Superintendent from his days at LCC. They offered him a position with the pay he requested and he took it. I understand the hard feelings that many at ER have with him, as he did promise that he was staying for at least 5 years, but coaching promises are unfortunately much like political promises, they change all the time. I personally harbor no hard feelings towards him for leaving, he's close to retirement and any pay raises he can get will help his retirement. He will retire when Cam graduates from H.S. so he can travel and watch him play. I think the remark made against Cam was totally uncalled for. I don't have any problem with anyone saying things about grown adults, but it upsets me when people say negative personal remarks toward a kid. I know Cam quite well and I can assure everyone that he is the furthest thing from a coward. He's a fine young man and a class act!
01-17-2012, 12:03 AM
Im from ER so I have a biased view. Cam was only an 8th grader last year even though he started for ER. So this year he could go any where he wanted. His dad left a head coaching job to be an assaistant at Kcc. How many head coaches do you know do that esp when they were coaching their own son. When Boorer left SV they tried thie best to get them there but the Pike Board would not allow it.
01-17-2012, 12:16 AM
And for the Kcc fans no matter what you are told if some private school or prep school comes calling they will be gone. And let me say 2 years from now Cam will be that good.
