BL in a great game!!

Shelby Valley seems to pull out these "Championship" games out of their ... well, nevermind. Experience in these situations is hard to go against, I'll go against the odds and take Valley by 5. Belter needs to show up big.

Valley has the size advantage......overall, BL is a little quicker.......Gonna be a great game!.....I'll go SV by 2

Valley 56-53.
#7
SV by 4

Wow! Can't believe alot of people are saying SV will win. I think they have improved a lot already this season, but I am still not sure they are up to BL's intensity. We will see, but I am saying BL by 10-15.

SV by 7. Let's not forget that Coach Newsome from SV is a great coach also and will make the necessary adjustments during the game to pull out the win.

I'm a little surprised by the point spreads mentioned here. I've been able to watch every game of the All A and there are some jeckyl and hyde performances (i.e., Betsy Layne v. Prestonsburg and Betsy Layne v Pikeville), but I really think this could end up being a classic. Both teams looked good Saturday and I think the final spread will be less than 5 points. Valley has the size advantage and might be slightly quicker (that's a toss up) but Betsy Layne shot well and did all the fundamental things that need to be done to win championships. I don't see a clear favorite in this game, but with Betsy Layne being the defending champion, I'll say Bobcats by 3, but it honestly could go either way. Should be fun to watch!!

I'm going with the Bobcats in a hard fought game. Belter will make his presense known in the middle.

This game can really go either way. I am so excited to see if this young Valley team can begin to consistently play with the best teams in the region. Size is a big time advantage for the Wildcats but as one poster stated earlier, the Bobcats have the speed advantage and experience. I have to give the edge to the Bobcats, even with Valley's championship mentality that that they always seems to acquire in tournaments. BL by 4 in a great game!

Game lived up to expectations. It was obvious which was the best "team" from the beginning. Valley was able to keep it within 5 or so in the first quarter but what took the momentum and put the Wildcats in such an early hole was the 14 point lead that the Bobcats kept for most of the second period. Personally I think that Valley won the second half and had more energy but by the time they had crawled back to within one point they had no more to give. Multiple missed bunny shots and layups plagued their finale to the comeback and allowed for a 8 point lead to suffice for BL to hold them off in the last couple mintutes.

The Bobcats were faster and seemed to get more of those "all important" 50-50 balls that can shift momentum either way. They should and will be one of the top 3 teams in the region. As for Valley, I can say that I was really proud of their effort and how far they are starting to come. As soon as they can get the right consistency from the multiple freshmen: Richardson, Newsome, Maldanado, and Hamilton- they will be fine! But as of right now, they still take their growing pains in spurts.

Congrats Bobcats and their fans!! Represent us well downstate!
