Hazard-59 vs Harlan Co-56 (Wymt Clasic)
#1
Final from Morton Complex.

Man, this was a good game.

Hazard jumped on the Black Bears taking a commanding lead up 16 in the 1st half but the Black Bears came out of the half hot going on a 19-2 run.The Dawgs start the 4th on a little run themselves to get the lead back but HC goes back on a run and hits a 3 with 3 secs to tie the game in the 4th, untill Hollan hits the 3 with no time remaining to win the game. This was a game of runs. Very good game to start the Classic in 2012.

Congrats Hazard.

I'll have your avatar soon Zaga. Wink

Congrats Hazard!! You guys just keep getting better. Can't wait to watch the Hazard vs. KCC game Friday night.
#12
Good win for the Bulldogs. This could be considered a mild upset due to the record Harlan County had and the recoginition they have been getting.
#13
I agree with ekff on this one. Belfry is the only team that I would put in the weak class.

I didn't know I was betting against Hazard when I made the bet.
I just bet MVP that Harlan would make it out of the first round and we made the bet before we knew the matchups Wink

HC's schedule has been EXtremeley weak, that's why they are only ranked 5th or 6th in the 13th region in the Cantrall rankings! If they had played a tougher schedule and been more prepared for a little bit of competition they might have taken care of business against a very average Hazard team?

Congrats Dawgs !!! Keep playing hard !!! LOVE THOSE DAWGS !!!

I would say you play who you can get to play. HC only has 5 home games this year.
#22
Congrats to Coach Holland!! Getting it done with youth
#23
2 Things

1. Hollan is a Player
2. Hazard is a little more than just average. Having a coach like Big Al alone makes them more than just average.

Brewer looked to run the offense. Was not looking for his shot. The press hurt Hazard in the run to get back into the game. Harlan's 2-3 allowed the Hazard offense to take its time for a good shot. Massengill's defense changed things. Whitaker and Brashear got into foul trouble which enabled HC to get to the offensive boards. HC allowed Hollan to drive straight to the goal for the final big time shot. Congrats Hazard!

Sure, nice shot by hollan but let's not jump conclusions to quickly if Triplett wouldn't have got the goaltending bucket and made the free throw the game would have been over! I personally think kcc will dominate the game on friday.

What a game. Congrats Hazard.

What do you mean? No one is saying Hazard is going to win the region. Just saying big win and it was. Knott "should" win the game on friday.

I don't see this as a weak tourney.
#29
This Hazard team is more fun to watch then any I've seen in a while. What they lack in talent they make up for with heart and hustle.
#30
Incredible finish to this one. Great game from both teams.
