Bengals: Zimmer and Gruden leaving?
#1
Now that the season is over, the speculation about the futures of offensive coordinator Jay Gruden and defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer can shift into overdrive.

NFL Network reported on Monday that Zimmer will interview with the Dolphins today. Miami has already interviewed have Jeff Fisher, Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin, Bears special teams coordinator Dave Toub and interim coach Todd Bowles. Zimmer has been the defensive coordinator the last four seasons.

Meanwhile when it comes to Gruden, he hasn’t heard anything yet directly, which means its likely that others close to him already have.

“I have not heard anything. I’m just sitting here getting everyone out of here,” Gruden said on Monday. “I don’t know what’s happening to be honest with you. I don’t know if I’m ready. I’m just dealing with the season that came to an end and whatever happens, happens. I got a couple texts from people that heard I was a candidate for the job but I haven’t heard anything otherwise. I don’t know exactly how it works. I’ll probably find shortly if it is true.”

Gruden was hired as the Bengals offensive coordinator on Feb. 3 and has had an interesting 11 months as he was trying to implement a new scheme without being able to work with players during the lockout. Once the lockout ended, it was 23-24 weeks of going nonstop.

Said Gruden: “I just want time to take a deep breath. I haven’t had time to do anything yet, just reflect and get this team better and worry about that first. I’m very happy here and have a lot of good prospects to believe the future is bright.

This would be two loses that would end Marvins years in Cincinnati. These two were the brains to this years club

^ Agreed

Would be silly to let them go. For the defense to play as well as they did without Jonathan Joseph, really speaks volumes.

^ It's not a matter of letting them go. Its a matter of them becoming head coaches!
