Dang...No 12th Region teams.

No 15th or 16 either i dont believe.

I like how Clay is ranked so high but IMHO, there are a lot of teams way better than them.
After watching how bad Whitley struggled to NKY teams, they looked a lot better than any other competetion weve faced this year.

Since Walton Verona, South Oldham, and Anderson Co are ranked, I guess that means Owen Co is no better than 4th in the 8th Region.

I guess its good they are 2-0 against current teams in the Top 20, though.

I cannot think of any 12th,15th or 16th region teams that should be ranked right now. Maybe later on, but none have proven themselves at this time. The most overrated team is Sacred Heart. They are ranked on name and past history alone.

Until Owen County schedules better teams they will never do well in these types of rankings which put considerable weight on your strength of schedule. Owen plays teams in the bottom of the eighth region and plays most of them twice.

I agree. Owen County does have a good team and does have two good wins over Walton-Verona and Newport Central Catholic but all of their other wins are over teams like Williamstown, Carroll County, Eminence, Henry County, and Trimble County. I would like to see them play more good teams instead of the worst teams in the 8th region. Walton-Verona, South Oldham, and Anderson County all play tough schedules. Owen County does not.

not so sure that I see where sacred heart, louisville christian, or madison central have beat a good team yet. nor s. oldham other than maybe highlands

I have always felt Cantrells rankings were a bit of a joke. After seeing NewCath a couple times last week I can't see them in the top 20 but I would put Conner at 12 and 2 with recent wins over Paducah Tilghman, Highlands, NewCath and St Henry deserving of top 20 consideration.

Because they have played a much tougher schedule than Owen County.
