[size=2]T
hree men are on the run after taking over a pharmacy in Floyd County.

Police say it happened in Wheelwright Thursday morning, when three men armed with several guns, demanded drugs and money at the Family Drug Pharmacy.

It was a scary morning at Family Drug as employees found themselves facing a gun barrel. Owner and Pharmacist Sherry Goeing says this is the first time they've been robbed at gunpoint and hopefully the last.

"They waited outside until there was nobody in the store and they came in the store and caused a commotion. They were cursing and being loud," Goeing said.

T
he men demanded drugs and money. They took 5,200Hydrocodone pills and 500 dollars cash.

Neighbors say the men just barely got away.

Two witnesses, who we are not showing on camera to protect their identities, say when they realized their friends were being robbed they took action.

"I grabbed a mop handle and broke it because the ladies I knew were in trouble. So I started going up there and there was a big guy standing up at the door. I didn't know exactly what was going on if they were still inside or not and he grabbed a crow bar and we both went up there in like a V, we was going to go up there and help them."

B
y the time the witnesses armed themselves, the robbers drove off.

T
he suspects didn't leave without a final threat to the pharmacy.

"They said you people are very lucky that we didn't hurt you and they left and said if you report this we will come back and burn your building," Goeing said.

P
olice are searching for three men in a white Hyundai Elantra with tinted windows.

The suspects are described as tall, thin, white men. They were wearing bandanas during the robbery.

If you have any information call Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555.

Drugs ruin Peoples Lives, Why, Why in the world would you want to do anythign to hurt yourself, I mean we hurt ourselves all the time, But soemthign that makes you go loopy for a few hours whats the point I see none. Its so stupid, I had to have some perscription drugs after I had surgery I hated it all I wanted to do was sleep, It sucked so bad. This really Irritates me I hope they catch these guys and send them to jail for life, I think its stupid and many of them run free because of who they know.
