Cubs/Reds nearing Trade
#1
Sean Marshall for Travis Wood and Couple Minor Leagures
#2
Reds are getting rid of a lot of young talent
#3
^You can tell they have the win-now mentality.

Not really sure about this...

Marshall is only locked up for the 2012 season, Travis Wood is locked up for 5 years.

Wood is still only 24 years old with more potential....plus you gotta remember he was 2 outs away from throwing a perfect game.

I'm torn about this...

Sean Marshall? I'd rather keep Wood

John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer hears from a source that no trade is imminent yet.

Cubs have talked to both Jeff Francis and Paul Maholm

this deal looks like it's gonna get done

I love it.... Wood would help!!
#9
I will say tho, its become pretty clear that with all these moves being made by Cincinnati.

They want to win...and win right now.

I really like Travis Wood. I'm not sure on this trade either.
#11
Not a good trade at all, take away a left handed starter for a left handed relief pitcher that only may pitch to a left handed batter....
#12
According to some fangraphs, Sean Marshall is the third most efficient reliever in baseball.

So it's not like it's totally bad.

He immediately will solify our bullpen.
#13
Sounds like the Reds will give him a shot at closing
