LBer Michael Brooks had a big-time season
#1
Collins linebacker Michael Brooks said at times when he would hear his own number of tackles from games from coaches that he was surprised.

“I thought I was playing a video game,” said Brooks, who had 27 tackles against Eastern High School and finished his senior year with 214 total tackles.

“It was a lot of fun. I am just glad I got to spend the time with a great team like that. People doubted us but we came out and played hard and proved them wrong. I wouldn’t have done anything without my defensive line and coaches.”

The 6-foot, 215-pound Brooks had 350 tackles in two seasons at Collins and as a senior had 98 solo tackles. He finished with 27 tackles for a loss as a senior and 16 as a junior.

Brooks said he has offers from Lindsey WIlson and Campbellsville and has seen a lot of interest from Western Kentucky. He’s also talked to Kentucky, Louisville and Murray State.

Sounds like he should take his chances & walk on d1. , never met him but his dad was one heck of a player in the 90's when I coached for Central.
