Texas A&M was close Saturday morning to finalizing a contract with Houston's Kevin Sumlin, who the Aggies have chosen as their new coach, a school source has told ESPN's Joe Schad.
Sumlin, who had also been a candidate at UCLA and Arizona State for their coaching vacancies, told the team on Saturday afternoon that he was leaving. Houston assistant Tony Levine will coach the Cougars in their bowl game, a source told Schad.

This is not a good hire. This is a GREAT hire. Look for A&M to be the scoring machine of a few years ago!

They lose a chance at a BCS bowl, they lose Sumlin, and in a month they'll lose Keenum. They've sunk lower than reality
