Looks like morris didnt have 40 again tonight.
When teams start playing better competetion and players are still scoring, you know there great, but as for some who thought Bell would smack Harlan in the face, were obviously dead wrong.

When you shoot 12/42 from the field as a team, you are going to lose it could have been worse

wow..with Bells highly tauted Freshman as being the top 25 in the country by ESPN.
If she is not overated and just that good then where is Mullins in the conversation.lol
Who in the world ranks such things.

Morris is an extremely talented player. She had an off night shooting and Harlan played very good defense, especially Jourdan Ledford. Morris is capable of scoring 40 just about any night when she is playing well.
I think Mullins will be able to play on the next level, too. She scores, rebounds and can handle the ball.

If one can remember in the all A Great win last year against pineville City it was
None other than Ms. jourdon Ledford whom saved the game
by blocking a last second shot attempt
By hot handed Chelsey Smith which scored 33 but had put up 18 points
in the last few minutes to put pineville in position for the win.
Jourdon Ledford Can defend anybody and I Hope
Colleges will take a hard look at her defensive prowess when
considering her as a recruit at the next level.

I totally agree with HDE. The Lady Cats had a bad night. It can happen to anyone. Consider & compare the following stats from the Harlan Ind. vs. Bell game last year when they met for the first time in the season.
Score: Last year: Harlan 31 - Bell 62 This year: Harlan 53 - Bell 38
Big difference between getting beat by 31 and 15.
Shooting for Harlan: Last year 8/47
Shooting for Bell: This year 14/52 You can do the math!!
Points: Last Year: Mullins as a Junior-8 Morris as an 8th Grader-16
This Year: Mullins as a Senior 23 Morris as a Freshman - 7
By the way - as a Junior, Mullins averaged 17
as an 8th grader, Morris averaged 16
That is a 1 point difference in scoring, but a 3 year difference in age!!!!
Last year's quote from the paper, "The standout junior was held to only five field goal ATTEMPTS in the game".
This years quote from the paper, (Morris)"finished with just seven points on 3-of-19 shooting".
Obviously, we all know how the season ended, with Harlan Ind. taking it all and advancing to the Region. Congrats to them, but if you were to have written Harlan and their best player (Mullins) off based on those stats, you would have seriously underestimated them. DONT make the same mistake with Bell.
