#1
according to the Los Angeles Times the Lakers and Free Agent Kapono are close to a one year or two year deal. Knicks also have interest in Kapono.

My question is....
why?!

Kapono is one of the best 3 point shooters in the league, why not?
#7
Not a bad player. Can't hurt to have him.

The Lakers really don't need this guy.
They have shooters all over the roster....
they need a PG.

Name someone that can shoot the 3 better that is on the team?
LA needs another "Machine" on the team since Vujacic is gone..

They will cut loose glass-jaw Bynum and ugly Gasol to get them, or at least one of them.
Just having CP3 is not enough - I think they need the big man first.

He'll take time from Barnes, Blake, and Brown....
All of those guys can shoot the three and bring something else to the table.
Barnes and his defense
Blake and his ability to play the point
and Brown with his athleticism

IMO Kapono is just a spot shooter

And that is something they are missing..
If I am a team owner - I don't need Blake and Barnes.. There are many other people out there that can do their job better..
Brown - he is a keeper.

Blake contributes very little..
Barnes - just a terrible pick up all around..

Aslan Wrote:Blake was really disappointing last year. He rarely gave quality minutes.

He also got his minutes yanked late in the season.
Early on he played some big minutes and hit some big shots.
However, I just read that Brown is looking to move....
Shannon Brown is a lot better role player than Kapono.
I would have gave the money to SB instead.

I like what he can bring to the table, for my Lakers.
