Good to hear. I would have hated it for the young man if he didn't get to play. But, that just makes PCC that much better lol

Does he have to sit out for a certain amount of time because I don't remember seeing him in the game last night against Rowan Co?

Why, so one of our own Perry County boys can ride the pine for another year?

I'm still hearing that he is not eligible....... Oh well, I guess we will see shortly

Jaysean is going to Oak Hill Academy. Just left Perry last night.
11-28-2011, 12:28 PM
^lol is this sarcasm or the truth. Because I heard a couple days back he was getting frustrated on having to wait so long to play and was considering a prep school.
11-28-2011, 12:31 PM
He's eligible from what I've seen on another site and there was some stuff in another thread saying he was good to go
11-28-2011, 12:35 PM
Judge ruled him eligible, still waiting on commissioner to sign off. That could take up to another week. Just tell the kid something already.......
11-28-2011, 12:36 PM
Dont know if the comm will sign off. To many complaints from other schools.
11-28-2011, 01:17 PM
I think if Tackett was going to sign off as "eligible", he would have already done so.... Just my opinion
11-28-2011, 01:21 PM
me too!!!

If Jaysean would of went to Hazard, he'd been eligible as soon as he'd walked through the doors. I was being sarcastic with the Oak Hill comment. I hope the kid gets eligible. This is his life and its a shame people at the KHSAA and around here are trying to screw up Jayseans future. Let him play.

Yeah right...
Eric Back and Evan Whitaker both had to sit a year... So Jaysean would have for sure...
If Jaysean did try to come to Hazard from NY, no one on here would be saying Jaysean should get to play. Everyone would be dogging Hazard...

If judge ruled that he could play, then what is taking so long on the comish?

Pretty sure all the judge does is recommend that a player should be elgible or inelgible. KHSAA has the final say!

The "judge" is a retired judge that acts at the hearing officer. His recommendation goes to the commissioner. Once he has that recommendation, he has 30 days from the day of the letter being sent to all parties to make a final ruling. The ruling is final when the commissioner rules, however is subject to review by the board of control. They only meet bimonthly, and the next one isn't until January. So, technically, the organization could drag this out for as long as they can under the letter of their constitution. It depends on the political pressure because as we all know, that is what rules the roost with the group in Lexington.
The hearing officer is far from independent as it may seem to some. He is employed by the organization.

No EKFF they would of said Jaysean was Chester Roses nephew. He'd been ruled eligible like the other 25 nephews and cousins. Eric Back and Whitaker were 10 mile transfers, not 500 miles.

Nope. I'm not even from Perry County. I'd just like to see him play some.

I heard he gets to play on the 3rd of december. so he just has to sit out one game, which is powell county.
11-28-2011, 06:39 PM
He's a kid. Let him play.

You know tho... Those kids are Chester's family so they actually HAD a reason to come to Hazard. Because they had family.... When someone comes from another State with no ties to the County, City, or State everyone knows its for sports. Which is against the rules.
But hey I know Jaysean and I do want the kid to play ball somewhere because he can play College Basketball. And if he missed his senior year it will kill his chances....
I just know if it was Hazard doing this everyone would be talking shit.
