Player to watch: Bibby believes 5-foot-11 junior guard Dominique Chandler (8 ppg) is one of the best shooters in the Louisville area.

Other top players: G/F Stuart Jackson (6-5, Jr., 8 ppg, 4 rpg); G Jamie Johnson (5-7, So.); G Jaylen Maxey (5-9, Sr.); G Deiontre Knox (5-8, Jr.); G Jordan Logan (5-11, Sr.).

Outlook: The Yellowjackets lost one of the state’s top sophomores last week when 6-4 D’Angelo Russell transferred to Montverde (Fla.) Academy. “Life moves on,” Bibby said. “I always like it when my back’s up against the wall anyway. We’re going to spin this into a positive.” Chandler and Jackson give the Yellowjackets two solid juniors to build around, and Bibby is confident his team will develop depth. Another uncertainty is how many football players will join the squad after their season ends.
