Eight teams are left...Who wins it all?
#1
Pick you winner and make any comments you wish.
#2
Gotta go with the home team
#3
Not unless a severe case of food poison or sickness hits ft Thomas , then no one stands close with highlands
#4
potato salad
#5
Highlands stiffest test comes this week. If they stay healthy, then it's on to FIVE in a row!!!
#6
IMHO, the winner of the Highlands/Cov Cath game will blow the rest of the state out and win the state title.
#7
This is an obvious one... CovCath :1:

here it comes
#8
Highlands, but Johnson Central still played them tough, huh?:okay:
#9
No brainer here....Highlands.
#10
Highlands wins it all. Too bad that Cov Cath cannot be the opponent at WKU in BG.
#11
Also going with the home team, Collins. Mr. Brooks and company are winners.
I love that you give no credit to anyone in the west.

With all due respect, the west has struggled for a long time...Going back TWENTY years, outside of Boyle's (they are now in the east and probably should always have been) streak Bowling Green is the last winner from the west, and that was in 1995.

Cov. Cath. is the only team in 4A that has a chance to beat Highlands. Birds would destroy Collins by 40pts. at least.

I agree HHS is the hands down favorite. But I do not see them just walking away with it if they get by CCH. Boyle or Lexington Catholic will play them tougher than most think. It is the playoffs, they have to go on the road and Boyle or Catholic will not laydown.

Highlands DESTROYED Western already this year. If Collins thinks they have a chance, they better put up 40 pts on Western in the first half.

Should we be giving Western credit? The only way Collins gets any credit, is if they beat Western 56-0.
#17
We, unlike others, do not run the score up on people.
If we wanted to score in the 60's, we would and could.

Before you start to call Highlands posters arrogant or cocky, ask the Western fans who saw Highlands play this year, what they think the chances are for the West side of the bracket.

Actually Boyle was from the west in 2001 thru 2003.

He said that in his post.

At the time Highlands and Western played, Highlands was ranked #1 and Western was ranked #4.

"Patrick Towles went 9-for-17 passing for 304 yards and three touchdowns - all in the first half when Highlands took a 49-0 lead."
#22
If Bell County was in 4A and in the west like they are in 3A there road to the championship game IMO would have been easier in 4A. Central is the only team in Bells way in the west in 3A and i dont see Collins or anyone beating bell, meaning, they wouldnt stand a chance against Highlands or Cov Cath.
#23
Highlands.
#24
Oh I agree that Highlands is the chalk of this group. Doesn't mean I have to pick them to win it all. If you go to the track, doesn't mean you always pick the chalk.
#25
Highlands is the heavy favorite. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out. I hope I get the opportunity to see that team again.

Come up to Fort Thomas this Friday night. You'll see the best game of the week in Kentucky, no matter what class you are talking.

I beg to differ sir. Highlands might just get the throphy, but the best game resides in Lexington this Friday night. Lex Catholic vs Boyle Co. You know why? Cause as much as they hate each other on the field. Players and coaches respect each other as people.

Since we are talking horse racing, you have a choice. You can come to Northern KY and watch a stakes race or you can go to Lexington and watch a claiming race for non-winners of 19.
#29
The claimers are more fun to watch..
