Final. No offense to Knox fans but Boyle should have cruised in this game. Hopefully we got the turnovers out of our system.

Rebels are going to have take more advantage of those points instead of leaving them on the turf inside the red zone. If they don't, they won't last long in the playoffs.
Seph Burke may have had his "coming out" party and give the Rebels that needed new weapon for a playoff run.

He was awfully impressive tonight, hopefully a sign of great things to come.

This game could have very easily been a running clock in the second half,Boyle had 5 fumbles lost all 5, 3 of them inside Knox centrals 4 yd line.one interception return for a TD called back.they got to take care of the ball from here on out.i heard the stats on the radio after the game Boyle had 599 total yds on offense.no offense to knox, but this game was in no way as close as the final score would indicate.

Congrats to the Rebels on the victory.

Congrats Boyle Co.

With 600 yards of offense and a few fumbles away from a dominating and potentially running-clock game, they should be HEAVY favorites for next week, right?

If they take care of the ball next week i think they'll win easily.

Boyle should win by 2-3 touchdowns. Easy. We know Rock can't stop the pass. Wake me up when we get to Lexington.:gtfo::dudecomeon:

Canady very good and tough ball player. Knox did not quit and took advantage of Boyle mistakes. Boyle put the ball on the ground at the worst times as stated above but Knox should get credit for causing a couple of those with penetrating d-linemen.

according to the radio announcer, knox had 6 turnovers also

I remember 3 interceptions. I don't recall that they fumbled though. I could been wrong though. It's happened once before.

Sounds like a sloppy game by teams that should be better than what they showed after 11 weeks.

either way a wins a win, no use arguing about it. hopefully theres a safe game played next friday, good luck to the rebels.

I thought I was wrong once.....but I was mistaken. Three picks. Knox offense was pretty good. Defense not so much. Theilemen about 40 % at best and we missed him. Hope he is back next week.

Just a sloppy game by Boyle but for once you are right, we should have played better after 11 weeks. Lucky to get the win after losing 5 fumbles. No argument from me on that one.
See you the day after Thanksgiving.:welcome:

I hope so. I like going to Boyle. Plus Highlands needs to pummel Boyle to show you how hard you need to work this winter.

Please, anything but that. I'd hate to see my seniors go out demoralized and beaten. It would be good fuel for the crop of juniors we have coming back.
I'd love to see Towles in person one more time since I know I'll see Bolin at least 3 more times live.

The Canady kid is a heck of a player. He took over for Knox in the 2nd half. Had we not scored to make it 28-14 I would have been worried about him tying the game. His touchdown run was a great run. We aren't used to seeing kids run on us like that. I look forward to seeing him on the court against us in December. He should have a great senior season. I hope to see him play again.

Believe it or not. I've rooted for Boyle every single time they've played Lexcath. Boyle doesn't have scholarship players like LexCath. I hope Boyle gets them the second time around.

Congrats to Boyle on a nice win. You have a strong team. As for the notion that this one could have been a running clock - that is on only offensive it is rediculous. Boyle fumbled because we made plays in crucial spots. On the other hand, we failed 3 times inside our own 20 to punch the ball in. Instead of talking about how this "could have been a blowout" Boyle better be thankful they got out of this with a win instead of a heartbreaking second half come from behind win by KC because that is exactly what nearly occurred. I was so proud of our team to come out in that 2nd half and put up a fight. Kudos to the Boyle coaches for seeing our big DT was out injured and exploiting that trap - that is what great coaches do and we failed to stop it all night.
Best wishes for the rest of the playoffs.

Please don't let it get out that your rooting for Boyle. Our fans don't need that kind of reputation.:please:

Just against LexCath. I root against you guys every other week. Plus I want Boyle to experience the running clock on their home field this year since they couldn't do it to anyone.

Why does your team need a second chance to put a running clock on us? They couldn't do it the first time. Read back through most of your post = :lame:

I would like to play Highlands again. You want to beat the best to be the best and they are the best. Would make 3 straight that much more special if we could pull off an upset. There we some people not happy about playing Knox because many feel they are the best of the 6th district but I will always want to play the best. Makes the wins even more special. Hope we can meet Lex Cath again and hope we can meet Highlands again. Win or lose you wanna beat the best.

First game jitters. Too many turnovers. Highlands isn't laying the ball on the ground 5 times in week 11. Towles has thrown 1 INT this season. I think Highlands will score on every possession against Boyle. Hopefully we'll see.

Glad to see that Knox Central was able to put up a fight!!
Congrats on the win Rebels!
