Louisville Central and Belfry went down this past Friday as Bell Co beat Top 3 HC in 5A.

I know Bobcat fans don't put much store in these rankings.
Bell's had a great year and I hope they win the state. But looking at Central's record is impressive. 3 losses:
3 pt loss to an 8-2 6A Manual
1 pt loss to a 6-4 6A St Xavier
Now a 2 pt loss to an 8-2 6A PRP squad.
Not bad for a 3A school.
I know Bobcat fans don't put much store in these rankings.

sorry but i think st x can beat any of the teams listed here, not trying to bash bell county. i hope they win state in 3A, needing a mountain team to win a title this year. 5A wont happen and neither will 4A, 3A has the best shot will bell county, hopefully they can pull out the wins they need. good luck to bell county

i think louisville central is number 1 in 3a until a 3 a team beats there is lots of 5 and 6 a teams that are no good so u cant go by that 4 titles in 5 years is hard to argue with.

Harlan was claiming #1 in the mountains and everyone reasonable said "Until you beat #1, how can you claim #1?" and the same goes here. Until a 3A school knocks off Central, no 3A school can make a legit claim to 3A. Hoping to see if Bell can go out and earn it in a few weeks!

I hope Bell wins too, but I am afraid Central may be in another league. Bell beating a three loss Lafayette, and playing a pretty good Catholic team does not match up. Bell played Wayne, Casey, McCreary, Middlesboro, and a weak Clay County, does not match up with Dupont Manual, St. Xavier, and Pleasure Ridge Park. I hope Bell beats them. Atleast in years past Bell had a easy road to the Semis. Bell will have to play Central in the third round. Harlan County will have a much easier road to the carpet than Bell does. Prove me wrong Bell County, I will be pulling for you.

Personally I think Bell has a good shot at it. It's looked to me from stats/video Wales is pretty much the only threat offensively Central has. I'm not taking a jab or anything, I personally don't know, it just looks that way. I think Davenport looks faster on film, and think they are both the same type of runner, so Bell will have the luxury of seeing a little bit of what to expect in practice. I don't know about Centrals defense, but they seem pretty stout, hopefully the Davenport/Polly duo will be enough to get them through.

Wales is our primary weapon. And I know your not taking a jab we are just discussing lol. Wales is the primary weapon, but Tajh Miliken(Our QB) can step up and actually has some good feet under him. Our passing game is also a stout one. We have other players that can step up in big times when there number is called on (Tyree Huguley,Cornelius Bolden, Darren Powell, TaeShawn Gibbs,DeVonte Yelder) Should be a great game!

I sure hope so, I always love it when a big time game with a big time team is around the corner, It's a long drive out of these mountains but I can't wait to make the trip and see these two teams compete :rockon:

you can run on them but you cant have any turnovers like Belfry did last year, and cant try to go score for score, and have to wrap Whales up or its going to be a long night..

I hate all rankings, all they do is give teams the big head and cause them to over look someone and get beat. It would be nice to see a mountain team on top though.

there is no way bell is #1 in 3a look a centrel they play much better teams than bell ever thought about. an lets not forget bell's coach he just cant win the big games, he had a much better team last year at knox centrel an could be the great hilton, he gets out coach every time when the games on the line.

Central plays the best to prepare them for the playoffs. They do not have much competition in their district. If Bell makes it to Central, this will be the fastest and best team they have faced all year. Breathitt found that out the hard way and so have Belfry.

I agree 100% Central is the King of 3A, but Bell can't be compared to those two teams.
