Didn't tempers flare for them last year around this time as well i can't really remember just something is clicking in my mind telling me that they did??? Good team and i agree with CHarlie...Sounds like the Pike Central team in 2003...

They are a good team and any good team cannot be kept down so i think they will be bouncing back here very soon.

"CharlieBrown" Wrote:South Floyd players have so much talent and that is their problem. They dont know how to use it to their advantage. They think the top scorer of the game is the best player which isnt so they need to worry about their all around stats and consider that into their game. They are jealous of one another and they dont even worry about sitting up any plays as far as I can tell. They run the floor and lucky to pass the ball once before shooting and most the time that doesnt happen. They need to worry about 2 point shots and realize that 3 pointers are good but a lot of 2's can also win a game. I agree on mixing up the line up or I would make the boys that are selfish with the ball work extra hard in practice with running or some sort of punishment if they want to carry on the traditon of being a Raider.

well put, i think coach hall of the raiders will get them to stay focused on the game and hopefully mix up the line and try to get more players in and out of the game and get everybody scoring inside the arch more consistantly instead of squaring up well outside, id really like the raiders coming up with some wins from playing smarter, they have some really good shooters but hopefull coach hall will get the raiders making the choice of finding an open inside shot more often rather than chancing a 3 everytime they bring the ball down the court

they have been playing better, id like to see more improvment in there next few games, i think the raiders can really go far if they come out ready to play each night

Coach Hall is a great coach and everyone knows he has all the confidence in the world in his team. But what he needs to do is really set down with his team and just talk to them about the basics of playing the game, it is ok to get a little bit upset if a player makes a mistake or someone else does something wrong but the problem with SF is that if someone does something wrong or commits a turnover or whatever, the players just get to a point were they want to kill someone or just yell and scream like they are crazy and Barry needs to set his team down and talk about patience because that is one of the most important things when it comes to basketball in a mental standpoint of the game and some of the players for SF get very impatient and there tempers are the shortest I have ever seen. If they want to stay on a positive note and get on a really good winning streak and play the ball that Barry and all the SF faithful know they can play then the boys need to stay patient and the wins will start to come to them, they have to take one game at a time and play as a team and dont focus on whos got the most points rebounds or steals and what not, yeah individual effort is good but team effort beats individual anyday. Eventually everything will start to come together for SF and they will get on a hot streak. Ive seen this team play 4 or 5 times already this year and they have the potential to be the best in the Region and like I already said they are the best in the District and if they do get on a hot streak and they probably will, they cannot let the ****iness get to them they cant get off track and if they stay focused, then they will be at Rupp come March.

Not a bad summarization STAT. They appear to be doing better and I have a feeling they probably get talked to quite a bit about getting frustrated. This team has lots of potential to be better and that is a good thing. Still a lot of season left for improvement. I question about Hall being a great coach but I bet he does have all the confidence in his players ability.
