What has happened to South Floyd?
#1
?????????
#2
Prestonsburg and South Floyd have both been in a funk as of late.
#3
Is it really something happened to them, or did they just go play bigger schools with more players to pick from? I will repeat that I didnt see them play, I am just going on what I read on here and in the newspapers. But tempers seem to be a plague for SF. Maybe they would be better off to start someone else and see if they can get there temper under control. If it gets spotted down state and T's are called, just think how bad it is going to be here where the refs are expecting the tempers to come into play and they are actually looking for it.
#4
Yeah, the player need to control their little temper tantrems.....When one of them gets out of hand its crazy, they let there team down everytime they do it. If they can't keep their cool, they wouldn't play for me.....

South Floyd players have so much talent and that is their problem. They dont know how to use it to their advantage. They think the top scorer of the game is the best player which isnt so they need to worry about their all around stats and consider that into their game. They are jealous of one another and they dont even worry about sitting up any plays as far as I can tell. They run the floor and lucky to pass the ball once before shooting and most the time that doesnt happen. They need to worry about 2 point shots and realize that 3 pointers are good but a lot of 2's can also win a game. I agree on mixing up the line up or I would make the boys that are selfish with the ball work extra hard in practice with running or some sort of punishment if they want to carry on the traditon of being a Raider.

I totally agree Charlie!!! Good Post

sf is in a funk as late but it happened last year as well so i think sf will straighten up and and finish strong on their way to winning another district title
#9
Yeah they went through the same thing last year. Coach Hall will get his team straighten out and i look for them to be fine. I think this is the year to make a visit to Rupp.
#10
Its defanatly possible ACE with the talent they have!
#11
They are very talented.
#12
Idk whats wrong with them right now.. but i think they will be ok
#13
I just dont know why people think something is wrong with them. With the exception of the all A last season, how many other East Kentucky teams won games in tourneys in Lexington or other places. Valley won the regions last year. They may as well not even made a showing in the state tourney. SF is good for teams around this area. But when was the last time teams from this area made any noise at all in the state level?
#14
they need to realize they aint the best team ever and actually try to play. they don't block out, they don't hustle, all they do is when one of them touches the ball they shoot it. Ryan, Mason, Ryan, T.J, and Ethan. There all ball hogs and SF wont win another game if they dont start playin team ball again like they did against JC and Hazard. when this team works together there the best team around here, if not they can't beat david.
#15
The-man i guess that means the man that knows nothing. for 1 your PG is the best in the region if not eastern Ky. He avg's 5.5 assist per game and just avg's 10 shots a game. he gets to the line 10 times anight which is what he is supposed to do. T.J. hustles and trys along with Matt little coming off the bench. Last season the Raiders where 5-10 after the jenny wiley tournament and everyone wrote them off and again they won the all a and the district (maybe some teams need to not have a cupcake schedule and they would find out its not that easy playing the best in the state) nothin is wrong and when a couple more want to win as a team as bad as the rest of them they will be fine.

good point hippo
#17
good post hippo!
#18
The Raiders will be just fine.
#19
they will come around
#20
no they won't...there horrible...they will be lucky to win another game
#21
If sf comes ready to play then they can compete with anyone in the 15th region but if they dont show up to play then they are going to struggle throughout the season
#22
i agree
#23
If you check SF's record with the strength of there schedule, you will see they are doing alot better than most of the teams in the area. It isnt that they are playing bad. They have just played alot of road games against quality teams.
#24
I agree
#25
SF is starting to play to their potential in these last two games. If they keep this up no one in the 15th can beat them.
#26
Good point ace:flame:
#27
they won't play there freshman jody tackett
#28
"#12" Wrote:they won't play there freshman jody tackett
Maybe there are reasons that you dont know about is why he isnt playing.
#29
well then they will continue to struggle
#30
Struggle? They have played one of the hardest schedules to date as anyone in the region. There are also 5 players that take the court. Not just 1. Do you think that if Jody would have played that there record would be better? Remember SF has one of the best point guards in the region in Ryan Johnson. Do you think a freshman could do better for real?
