This score makes me wonder if Rock,and the rest of thier district is as good as advertised.I thought Rock should have won this game easily.:pondering:

According the KHSAA this is not 100% and with Knox winning, Rock losing did this change anything?
I don't think it matters. Even if Marion had beat Anderson and LCC to wins tomorrow, then we'd have been 1 point short. We'll have more points total, but our best 4 will be 15 or 16 to Rocks 18.
Seeding will be as you have it.

So what did happen. I still think the 6th district teams are good but how did montgomery win? Shouldn't have happened.

Tonight a couple of banged up starters rested, a sophmore got to start his first game on the O line and played pretty well. I'm proud of the Kirby kid. Rockcastle started only three regular starters on the offensive line for different reasons. The O line wasn't the problem in my opinion because they proved they could drive the ball in the first half. Halftime score was 12-7 with Rock up. Some tackling issues, dropped balls and a few other problems including penalties added up to a L for Rockcastle. The rest of my opinion of this game will be kept to myself.

Rock got pass happy tonight and it didn't work we are not a passing team our QB is not Kyle Bolin don't understand the play calling in this one guys I hope this isn't going to be things to come

Two words sum up this game: rest, irrelevant.
People fought me all week long when Laker20 and I both said that Rock would be resting players and preparing for next week. I said that this game is irrelevant. People were saying, "That's not the Rocket way!" "Rock doesn't follow normal rules that many teams do because we are Rock" "We wipe our tails backwards because we are Rock" etc....
Looks like Rock rested some players, and also talking to a few players they were looking ahead because they already knew from everyone that this game didn't matter. People can say that every game is life or death in the Rock way, but even many of the coaches and players do not look at it that way.
Again I will repeat, very few people in the world cared about this game. Not to take anything away from the boys in Mt. Sterling, but Rock is and was waiting for the playoffs.

^ Well, I'm not sure we discussed the backwards but wiping, but the rest of what LWC is pretty accurate. I think the thing that is different about this years playoff is that our district doesn't have the luxury of 2 or 3 games against lesser opponents. We''ll be playing teams that are good enough to punch you in the face within the first two weeks. So, there's nothing wrong with taking extra time to heal, work on the passing game, etc.
The goal of all of these teams is to become the best playoff team they can become, and sometimes that means resting a few guys. I think everyone playing on Fridays would trade their regular season wins for 5 in the post season.

well in my opinion, since this game really didnt count for rock, well i mean it counted but not play off wise, they probably tried to get their pass game in tune for the playoffs. just my opinion though...

they confuse me too, beating a great perry central team, being blown out by a great knox central team, beating a great russell county team, and losing to an average montgomery county team. idk anymore. they have the ground game complete, just need to get a couple good receivers and some corners and safetys who know how to cover the spread offense.

I had a game tonight and missed this one. last up date I heard rock was up 12-7 at the half. sounds like Montgomery came out of the locker room on fire. Im so confused on how this happened. i know reams and brock was out but who was the others. congrats to MC good luck to you guys in the playoffs.

The three things that I saw that hurt Rockcastle the most where turnovers lack of a pssing game and problems defending the pass game. I was also impressed with the young man who played center for Rockcastle he was giving up alot of size but did very well with our two d tackles who both are pretty big young men.

Well it needs be tuned up a lot more then cuz last nights passing attack wasn't no good

1. Montgomery County played a good game.
2. Rockcastle was without some players. I heard 6(3 for fighting last week). I do not know their team so I do not know.
3. Both teams played with some things different preparing for the playoffs
4. Do not care what anyone says, but Montgomery goes into the playoffs off a win and Rockcastle enters off a loss. I would rather have momentum.
