If Highlands wins out and takes the 4A state title, how many of the games will have a running clock? Round 1 and 2, definitely. Round 3 against Covcath, not likely, but has had running clock vs Covcath in recent past. Round 4, if Boyle Co, running clock in 3rd or late 4th. Finals, guaranteed running clock shortly after half.

I am 100% confident that in every single game the clock is going to run. I think it's a rule that the clocks always have to run down to zero in order for the games to conclude officially. I'm not sure of this whole running clock thing, but I think it must be used be a rule. This is not West Virginia where they use a Sun Dial, so I'm confident that they will use a clock that runs all the way down. Can someone check KHSAA on this for me though????

Is there any reason for a post like this? If it happens, it happens. What could possibly be gained by posing such nonsense?
It is posts like this that give Highlands fans on this board and others a bad name.

If a team needs bulletin board material to get jacked up for Highlands then the clock should be running anyways.

The real question should be....
If Highlands growed a pair and played Trinity, how long would it take Trinity to get a running clock on highlands?
No room on this thread for this garbage. Shows your cockiness. All great programs fall one day for some reason or another. Dont worry, they'll be a time when highlands is struggling and post like these will make you sick, as did this one to many.

It stinks because they ARE so good that they can boast like this and it will not come back to haunt them. They are THAT good this year.

I'm not taking up for Lefty here, but you are wrong on this one! HHS does have a pair - Actually a big PAIR! HHH played Trinity this year. They did something that very few teams in the state, probably 99.9 teams in the state have ZERO interest in doing, and that is scrimmaging a National Powerhouse! Sure, it was a scrimmage, but who in their right mind wants to scrimmage a team like Trinity??? I agree with the rest of your post, but you absolutely cannot knock Highlands for who they are willing to play. This is a squad that every single year plays a National Powerhouse! Who else in the state does that?

For the last 60 years, Highlands has played in 5 of every 10 championship games on average, winning 3 out of every 9. BTW, in the last 30 years Highlands and CovCath have combined for 19 state titles. In that 30 years, Boyle Co won 3 and 8 other teams (including Conner from the HHS/CCHS District) won one each. That's 20 of 30 for one district.

Truth is HHS won't play T or Ky. St. X during the regular season because balless ole Dale always wants to say they are undefeated against Ky. competition. Always seems to come up with the excuse that there isn't a week we could AGREE on. Always finds the time for the Westerns and the Mason Co.s of the state though.

I'm not a Highlands fan or even involved with NKY football at all, but do you mean the same Dale Mueller that over the past few years that has scheduled DuPont Manual, Boyle County, Beechwood, Hopkinsville, Lexington Catholic, Madison Central, Central, Male, Danville, Henry Clay and Saint Xavier? I guess that still leaves Trinity and a few others, but hell, he only has room for 10 games a season, he's gotten to almost every other powerhouse around the state it seems. Not to mention the GCL or Colerains he schedules on a yearly basis.
As for the main subject of this thread, all I can say is wow.

Well you managed to do it. I didn't think it was possible but you did it. You posted something as stupid as the opening post of this thread. Congrats, I guess.

You are correct. I was shocked the Rock put a beatdown on Highlands in 2002. I hope the Rock advances far enough to play Highlands. They need to be paid back with about an 80 to 6 whipping to make up for what they did to Highlands.

I hope Rock makes it that far too and it wont be no 80-6 maybe 45-27 or something

The Rock's not scoring 27 and they surely aren't holding Highlands to 45. Realistically I think it would be anywhere from 56-68 for Highlands and 7-14 for the Rock.
