If he has the open field nobody can catch him with his speed
Landon Hurst... Frankfort Middle
Justin Bowling from Shelby valley, More than likely the hardest hitter and most aggressive kid in the state. He averages around 5 forced fumbes a game. In 7 games this year he had 66 tackles and 47 solos, 750 yards rushing and 25 two point conversions. He has played 3 games since coming back and has had around 320 rushing yards in those three. He's 5'7 200 pounds. Fulback and Nosegaurd/Linebacker.The kid is mean and more than likely starter on the highschool team next year if he does not hold back.
Lone Oak Middle School has a lot of talent

QB/LB/FS Zyaire Hughes
RT/DT Wells Purdom
WR/CB Sayveon McEwen
RB/LB Devharius Jones
C/DE Aaron Kaler
LT/DE Jack Moreland
The Hatcher and Farris kid from Meece look real good
I'd throw Dee Cain from Caldwell County in there too
Zack Mills from Whitley has to be one of the top players in the state.

Also from Knox:

#4 Jacob Mills RB/FB
#2 Jared Hall DE/RB
#35 Matthew Smith LB/FB
#62 Gary King OL

7th Graders:
#5 Jeremy Stewart
#8 Tanner Wells

From Bell:

#27
#7
#78
TJ Dotson 14 years old 5'7 130 lbs " TAILBACK" Belfry / 1075 yds rushing on 103 carries 14 tds 2 rec. tds /1372 AP yds. on the season. was clocked at 4.7 sec. in the 40 with out his shoes on
there are three kids from lone oak that are really tough.if you havent seen them play go to you tube and pull up wells purdom #56,this kid is 6ft 230 lbs and can move.devarous jones #24 hard runner and and will knock your socks off,and zahyar hughs #11 really has strong arm and can run.all three are good kids.
4.7 in the 40, WOW. Was this timed by a handheld or lazer?
handheld I didn't do it fred bentley did it after practice one day and told me what it was

I would also say Mathew Smith and Anthony Robinson as well.
Out of all the teams Bell Co. played this year Whitley Co.'s Zack Mills was by far the best player they faced! #2 Hall and #4 for Knox were good too. Bell had 3 pretty good candidates themselves #2 Chase Woolum, #7 Payton Collett, and # 66 Nathan Murray.
I do think that there are several boys from Bell that deserve to be mentioned. #2 Chase Woolum
#7 Peyton Collett
#27 Corey Swanner
#78 Nathan Murray

I would put them up against anybody in the state!
From Lone Oak Middle School
Devharius Jones RB/MLB Runs very hard about 200 pounds and very aggresive on both sides of the ball

Wells Purdom RT/DT About 6-1 230 and has a very good Nasty Streak and piles up a lot of TFLs and Sacks

Zyaire Hughes QB/OLB 5-11 or 6-0 QB who runs a 4.7 and I think got a 4.65 at the Louisville Combine, throws a very very good long ball and has moves and power good LB too

Jack Moreland LT/DE About 6-0 or 6-1 and probably 215-220 pounds, very quick off the ball and piles up tons of sacks and TFLs

Sayveon McEwen WR/CB Has very good hands and great breakaway speed, performs great in coverage and a very aggresive tackler and runs about a 4.8 to 4.9

Aaron Kaler C/DE Very quick off the ball and wears down defenses well and terrorizes the QB very well, a true sack artist

Jonathan Stills NG At a staggering 265-270 pounds, Stills is a huge force at NG, stops the run very well and is definitely still growing
No offense but with kids like you are saying this team should beating high school teams instead of getting beat out in the first round of the playoffs like so many others! If they were that impressive , I sure would hate to see the teams that beat them!:please:

#2 Hall from Knox is as tough as nails, offensively he can play anywhere except maybe qb, including the line! This kid is a hoss!!! Defensively hes got to be one of the better DEs in the state. He is strong as bear due to weights and swimming his whole life.

#4 Mills may not be the best Mills in the state but he is close, good combo of speed and power. One of the better blocking backs as well.

#5 Stewart is a very explosive home run type back who can throw catch and run. Very fast! Also the best part is he's a 7th grader!

#8 Wells the tight end can block and has excellent size and speed. He catches and runs good routes. A very good blocker, nightmare of many DEs. He also plays DE and is very good there too. He is also a 7th grader!

#62 king is an outstanding offensive lineman. He is down right nasty in the trenches. Just ask any team he's played. Very good on defense too, he has a non stop motor!

#35 is a great blocking full back and excellent linebacker. Doesn't care to stick his nose in there.

i dont know about beating high school teams, but i think they could play with most teams in the state.they had a bad day and i think they over looked a well coached warren county team.their kids wanted more on that daythan we did.congrats to warren co for beating us.great sportsman and great fans.
Cody Morton - QB at CAL - over 1,200 yards passing and 540 yards rushing this season. 14 TD passes 3 Interceptions. 8-9 for 159 yards and 2TDs in regional final win last Saturday with 88 yards rushing and another TD.

Tanner Lopez - RB/Return specialist - CAL - 18 TDs, 3 KO returns for TD and over 1,000 yards rushing . 159 yards rushing in second round of playoffs with 3 TDs. Very shifty runner

both kids are 4.0 students I will include in this assessment
From region 4:
The Mills kid is in a class of his own. After that, Bryce Workman and Brandon Butcher from Martin County along with Matt Miller from Paintsville were the other 3 who stood out during the regional finals.

I agree.. Also Dalton Frasure #23 from Adams Middle played a great game in a tough loss to a very good Martin County team.

Yes, agreed. He stood out just as much as the MC kids.
