Not knocking on breathitt either. They were superb that year, Channing Fugate was a BEAST, it was just alot of people thought they could beat us. I have always respected mountain football.

Before the regions though, Central needs to focus one game at a time. We have Casey County coming up and possibly Corbin or Henry County coming to Central.

Davenport may be the best RB Central has seen this year, but on the flip side, i know Wales will be the best offensive player Bell has seen this year.

amped 88 is correct, 2009 was the one year (the only year) central has not won it all since realignment, also that was the year that Central lost their ONE game to another 3a team. i am not going to like the ride to paducah.

Dont think that because Central plays all them Louisville schools that their above getting beat by a mountain school. Breathitt Co had a pretty good team that year but this year's team is alot better. they don't rely on one person it's a group effort. But my opinion I think they won't get by Bell Co.

Ok I never said that he didn't. I said that this year teams is better and that I thought Bell Co would beat them. In my honest opinion I do think that Central thinks they are above getting beat by a mountain team.

What makes you think the coaches & players think that ? Trust me Central does not think they are "above " getting beat by anyone. But if you had only lost one game to another team in your class since realignment I bet you would be super confident. I don't think central "plans" on losing ,because that is against their culture. Heck what good team plans on losing ?

I dont think central overlooks anybody. The wins this year are impressive, even the losses are impressive. They have earned the right to be confident. I am a central fan, they are well coached, disiplined and can smell blood. Ive seen it.
In o7 the pirates left the state championship feeling like they let one slip through their fingers. It really could have went either way. Last year wasnt even close. All games have to be played, so dont get mad bell, breathitt, or pt, but but i believe we will see a rematch. Last year the monday after state, some boys went to play sissy ball, i mean basketball. the rest went to work, the ones who wrestled were told to take a week and let their body rest they didnt. the ones who didnt wrestle were in the weight room and on the field doing speed drills in the middle of winter. this pirate teams is has been working and had this kind of focus since and it hasnt let up. In 23 days the rubber will meet the road.

You could be right MJ but I will tell you this you guys ought to be thankful that Bell isn't on you side of the state because there wouldn't even be a chance for a rematch.

Obviously coachdad, Central must have learned a little humility since they came to Paducah two years and taunted the Tilghman players before the game by yelling "You're in our way" and "Get out of our way." I know that had to be an unpleasant ride home for y'all.

You carry on here like its some sort of miracle that Central wins given it is a KHSAA custom made 3A gift to Louisville and has open enrollment in all of Jefferson County. I would say any of the top 3A programs could easily do the same if they had the same pond to fish in.

And your point to me is what? I could care less what you think. Give props to you team I will as well. They are number one until someone beats them. Never gave your team any disrespect. They are great and can be beat. If they don't the more power to them. I do know this they will have to come to Bell County next season.

Louisville man I'm glad your a central fan, I've been on here for a few years now & Tica @ I have jabbed each other on ocassion, but over all I think he is a decent guy & I hope he feels mutual respect for me, most of the time he knows what he's talking about. Central , Belfry ,Bell , Breathitt, Tilghman are ALL great programs with decades of tradition ! Tica if I make it seem like it is a miracle that Central is dominant I certainly did not mean to come off that way, yea I know central is stacked year in year out through no fault of their own they are just playing the hand they were dealt . But you guys gotta lighten up some times & try not to enterpret negativity every time somebody has something to say.

My team isn't Breathitt it is Bell County.
