I only want to say one more thing and Im done with this thread. Proof is in the pics Pcc got away with a lot of dirty play that was clearly visable to any ref who would do his job for the ones on friday who did not shame on you all. The whole crew needs to be suspended and I hope they will when the KHSAA gets the vidio. For PCC fans if you take up for this kind of play by your team as well as want to cheat to win, and wont shake hands at the games end then you are classless as your coach after what went down fri nite I would not have Chapman anywhere near my kids.

I agree. Great win for BELFRY.

Not sure exactly the best place to post this, so I will do it here. Just went back and watched the WYMT coverage of the record breaking win this past week. It was excellent. And it really appeared at least that there was genuine admiration between both Dudley Hilton and Tom Larkey toward Coach Haywood. Coach Derrossett was also seemingly heart felt, and Mike Holcomb was very flattering for such an adversary.
Great Job by the Lexington Herald Leader as well with their coverage. They had a nice article on Saturday with a good photo gallery and Mike Fields had a good article on Sunday.
This is my last post about it, but was up a bit late and decided to take one more look at it after seeing a cool video on my facebook news feed.
Great Job Coach!

Congratulations to Coach Haywood and his successful career. I would just like to say that no one at Pike Central, or anywhere else has anything but respect for "him" and "his accomplishments". I personally feel that he truly deserves a second award for enduring the "class of ignorance" that he has had to deal with within the Belfry Community. You would never hear Coach Haywood or Coach Chapman for that matter try to show their ignorance by running their mouths about one another or making personal slanderous statements. The same people that are on here this week acting like they have actually played some part in this man's success are the same people who back in 2008 (when Breathitt beat Belfry) were on here and out in the community running their mouths to anyone who would listen about how Coach Haywood was past his prime and needed to be replaced. Statements were made about how his style of football was outdated. But I will say one thing...I doubt that any of the ignorant statements made on this site in regards to other football programs and other coaches were made by anyone that has "actually played" for Coach Haywood. I doubt very seriously if he ever taught anyone disrespect. Most of these posts are obviously made by people that live in some sort of fantasy world.......everyone knows the type. They show up at a game and yell "Hold! Get him out of there coach! Put somebody else in!"......But yet they have never played a down of football.....never coached a game of football..... and more than likely never even raised their own children. So to sum it up....Haywood definitely deserves to be honored. So why don't you truly honor the man and stop trying to connect your "classless behavior" to his name or even to the game of football. Most coaches around the state have a mutual respect for one another (especially the ones that have been around for a while) because they all know what it's like to try to teach young people life skills while attempting to deal with the outside influences.... We all have class.....of some sort.....not always something to brag about! Ask the coaches themselves...... I doubt very seriously if Coach Haywood would want to be associated with anybody that gets on the computer with an assumed name and attempts to personally slander anybody...... Now that is "real class!"

Where do yo go and what do yo say to respond to this thread???? I have purposefully kept my mouth shut on this one becasue I didn't want to say anything I regret. For the people who know who I am, I cannot always publicly open my mouth and spew my feelings even when I want to. I have at times, but I have kept quiet this time. I am a huge Pirate fan and I was really pleased with how Belfry came out and played all night long Friday. They played 48 minutes of football, not always perfect, but good solid football. A few posters have mentioned depth as a key, and I would agree with that. When I looked out and saw how many players were going both ways for Central, I knew Belfry would be fine. I also took a look at the line from PCC, and no disrespect given to them, but I knew Belfry had a huge advantage. I think PCC does have some nice players and I had previously stated I knew they would make some plays, and they did. However, they are not built to go against a power running team for 48 minutes. I had a Pike Central fan message me on my Facebook account apologizing for Chapman. Without reading the direct letter he sent me, this person apologized to me for the actions of their coach, saying it was not a reflection of the whole Central community. He also said that Chapman's "non hand shake" was premeditated, and that as far as this fan was concerned, he would never attend another Central game as long as Chapman was there and that he hoped Chapman was gone soon. I said one thing on the radio the other night about the incident and this is what it was and I will leave it at that..."that is just the most classless thing I have ever seen on a football field"...Case closed as far as I am concerned...Do not take away from the fact that Belfry is 9-0 and has beaten some real good teams and dominated most of the others. I think they are the team to beat from the East and It will take a really good team to knock them out of the playoffs. Anyone who would like to see what it really means to be a Pirate and to get a little further glimpse into one of the greatest football coaches in Ky history, you have my permission to go to my Facebook page under Bobby Norman and view the videos I posted of the return of the players to the CAM after the game, and Coach Haywoods speech at the complex. Good Luck to PCC the rest of the year. Anyone who wishes to add me as a friend to Facebook can as well, just ask.

DANG boy, you got your name right! CLUELESS is as close as you can get! I'll have you know one thing... Coach Haywood has a good rapport with his parents and is close enough to call on them when he needs something. No one, I repeat no one has slandered anyone on here other than speaking the plain out truth! Sometimes, if the heat's too hot.... you better get your ass outta the kitchen!

I have no idea who you are, what you are talking about and evidently you are clueless as to who I am.
I've been thinking. How does all these "non-calls" factor into PC thinking they can play "dirty ball" and getting by with it in the play-offs? IMHO, I think the non-calling (on both sides of the ball) can end up hurting a team more than it helps. I feel like if they think they can get by with it, then they will try it and it may come back to bite them!

I am not defending Chapman personally, but I guess some would call him a coach, he's won several games up there and turned the program around. They've won a few more games than Phelps, and Betsy Layne, and they still working on getting Belfry....LOL. What I am trying to say is that they have a program that is being :haters:more competitive and some people just can't stand it, you know what I mean.....they're starting to run with the big dogs, give'm some credit.
Retread? Does that mean stuck with.....LOL?
